want everyone to thank Arthur Blessitt for popping Religious Freak’s cherry this week. Originally, I had planned on featuring another freak for this special occasion, but when I ran across Blessitt I knew he was the one. This man has spent the last 35 years pimping Jesus in 303 nations (I didn’t know we had 303 either) and walking over 35K miles! While this is indeed an impressive feat by any standards, this wasn’t enough for this Jesus superstar. What elevates Blessitt to the super freak evangelist category is that he did it while carrying a 12 foot wooden cross. Yep, and Christians think Jesus carried it far. But Jesus gets mad props though for doing it while being whipped I guess. Who knows, maybe Blessitt will have a couple crazies dressed as Roman soldiers with whips on his next walk. That would make it more authentic in my opinion, but I digress.
But it doesn’t stop here folks. You can thank Blessitt for helping George W Bush find Jesus as his savior in 1984 as noted in Blessit’s website and this
article on MSNBC. Then one thing led to another and we get this colossal waste of money/lives and more lives. Once again I digress. In case you’re wondering about the pic, yes that is Bush and no it’s not Alfred E. Newman. Ok, I’ll stop ripping on Bush after all I did vote for him once….YIKES! Anywho, I digress again.
But wait, there’s yet another stop on this crazy Jesus parade and that my friends is space! Yep, you heard me correct. 
Having already spread the word of the lord to every nation, Blessitt is aiming his Jesus cannon toward the heavens. In the Fall of 2005, he will launch a cross into space so other planets and aliens can see just how stupid we are. The cross will be a scant two inches and made of wood from his 12 foot cross.

Realize it’s along time since the original post but wanted to add my 2 cents worth and hopefully some of the earlier posters are still monitoring the site: There seemed to be a lot of questions about how he did the many things he did. Take a look at his website, read his on-line books and all your questions will be answered. He’s an awesome man who loves God and people, all people. Those horribly insensitive remarks are so juvenile, uneducated and uncalled for! (and whether you like it or not, he LOVES you, too)

I can relate to the power of the cross as people today see it preached by believers in the world. The assurance believers have is that Christ raised from the dead verifying God’s acceptance of the spotless sacrifice Christ provided almost 2000 years ago. The moment a person trusts the reconciliation words of Christ’s death, burial, resurrection – the holy Spirit seals within the believer untill the day of redemption. What Arthur has inside is a holy Spirit that gives earnest desire to preach the cross and produce the fruit of the Spirit. The cross will preach itself if we are just faithful to present it to the world as ambassadors. We preach the cross not only to see hopeless find eternal hope, but to encourage saved people to do the same. Look on youtube and godtube under cross preaching and view some fruit bearing episodes of cross preaching – thank you all for your support of brother Blessitt

I believe this 100%. We should have a desire to go and witness to lost souls, but while in the process, we should also encourage and help our bretheren to do service for the Lord. Who knows? One of our downtrodden Christian friends could be the next great God serving revival evangelist of our day.

Jesus plainly says in Matt.5:32 that unfaithfulness is the ONLY justifiable excuse for leaving your wife. Which Jesus does Arthur claim to represent anyhow? While Arthur went around the world drawing attention to himself as a saintly Christ figure, his REAL wife was left with the hard job of struggling to bring up his first family. Grow up, Arthur and act like a responsible man! God cares more about what you DO than what you say!

“for the one who said no miracles have ever been proven”… I myself have proof.. I have had a miracle on my camcorder for over a year now and I tell my story to whoever would like to hear it. God works miracles all the time! People just give credit to THEMSELVES for that miracle and not to the one that did it for them. I was taught MY lesson you dont have to see to believe. But God let me video tape it anyway even after HE wouldnt let my pictures come out. I am one that requires evidence unfortunatly (but not anymore) I feel rewarded to tell my story WITHOUT the video and seeing those believe when i just “tell” them. I wish I could have done that!

I wish I had a contact phone number for you because my story has many facets. I have yet to put the testimony into words. I have considered making a video and including my pictures and video. This past year after the incident I have been debating on what to do with the information. At first I thought it was so private and was only meant to benefit my well being. However, I do believe it was intended for people such as yourselves and many others on this site and other sites that do not believe. Also for the ones who are “on the fence” in their beliefs.
I know what it feels like to be “put off” by people who claim to be “Christians”. Actions speak louder than words for me. Christians/Believers (myself included) need to always remember to walk the walk if we talk the talk. I have come in contact with many people who claim to be Christians and yet they are the same people who turn around and cheat on their spouses, are first to stab you in the back and countless other things considered WRONG by moral standards let alone the Bible’s standards. I just think you havent come across anyone believable in your life that has made a difference. And I wasnt insinuating that you were a bad person because of your belief system. You may indeed have far better morals than many of those that claim to be of Christian Faith. And I am not judging you as you have me. I’m not saying I will be that person that will change your mind, but I would love to tell you my story if you would honestly really want to know…

I appreciate your interest and open mindedness. As I stated above I have yet to put my story to paper. I was hoping to give a worthy account in my testimony and not just scribble down the basics because the whole story has its importance, for the sake of just “spewing” out utterances because someone “challanged” me to. I can give a short version..an outline.. but it wont give the story the glory and justice I believe it deserves.
I do plan on re-visiting this site soon with my update.. wasnt planning on visiting it today, but for some strange reason I was drawn to it… not sure what I would have found. As I am hoping to hear back from Korgen..
