The Reverend Pat Robertson says the Pennsylvanians who voted out the 8 school board members, who favored Intelligent Design, have rejected God as well. According to the AP, Pat takes it a step further:
On today’s broadcast of "The 700 Club," Robertson told Dover residents, "If there is a disaster in your area, don’t turn to God." The founder of the Christian Broadcasting Network explained, "You just voted God out of your city."
Well guess what Pat, God’s not going to help them anyways. I think they’d be much more inclined to turn towards their insurance companies or the goverment. I challenge anyone to show me a disaster is which God actually helped someone. Usually he’s the one causing them… take Noah’s Ark and the Great Flood for example. So just take your mindless blather and peddle it elsewhere.

According to Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell (America’s Fools), God didn’t prevent the attacks of September 11. God specifically put in motion the attacks of September 11 because of gays and abortionists. God, the omnipotent, the omnibenevolent, decided to throw out the commandment to not kill/murder, and killed/murdered thousands of people. Very likely among those people were heterosexuals and pro-life Christians. So, to the people of Dover, PA, remember that we must burn the village in order to save it!

Robertson is a nutjob, and most Christians make fun of him. Very few take him seriously. On the other hand, this kind of thing is becoming very embarasing for our president, but maybe he has it coming to him?
