When he talks about ” lines such as “one nation under God,” removed from the Pledge of Allegiance.” I think that some people’s problem is that the Pledge of Allegiance was written and why should we in this day and age change what was written by someone else, that would be like me re-writing Stephen King’s “IT” and trying to republish it I bet I would be sued and possibly have a bunch of Stephen King fans beating down my door. Our church supports a missionary to China, who lives in fear of being executed every day! Tommy Tillman must be incredibly brave to live with lepers so they can hear the word of God! Think of George Muller who built an orphanage! (Yay! story time!)
On one day in particular at the orphanage, the inhabitants had no food or drink. They asked Muller what to do and he said,”Set the tables. God will provide.” As they set down at the empty table, he requested that they bless their food(which they didnt have). As they were praying, a knock came upon the door. As they opened the door, they were greeted by a box of milk cartons and baskets of bread donated by gracious patrons! How great the Lord is! Don’t mark this as coincidence, as it happened many times after this.

I think you got the wrong idea that you certainly didn’t conceive on your own. The point I was making about giraffes is that they were not “put here” on Earth like that. EVERYTHING you see around you “changes”. It’s one of the true definitions of time. Giraffes got their long necks over millions of years of evolution starting from a single cell organism, just as the hummingbird developed it’s long beak to facilitate drinking nectar from flowers, to ensure it’s survival.

My biggest problem with Christians is that not only do they live in a fairy tale where all of their problems are solved by some unseen force, but they also judge and condemn others for not doing what they do. They are seemingly terrified of actually thinking for themselves and allow themselves to be completely blinded by and obsessed with faith.
Thinking logically feels good, my friends, and it helps me cope and deal with REAL situations myself. I can stand up to the world without begging “Jesus” for help. I know when I make a mistake it’s my fault, and I can either forgive myself and fix the situation or pray to Jesus to fix it for me. I think I can get it done a lot faster than any deity ever could.
I don’t have a problem with faith, don’t get me wrong. We all need something to derive strength from. But it’s when faith becomes the supposed solution to every problem, when faith is your only source of confidence and achievement, that I have a problem. To me it is a sad way to live. I get confidence and achievement from myself or from the real people around me that I love, not from a book or an invisible God in the sky. It’s fine to imagine and believe, but when it becomes an obsession it becomes a delusional mental problem. If you cannot function daily without praying or “talking” to Jesus, I’m sorry, but there should be made a rehab center for you.

I mean every athiest I’ve ever meet says that WE are very religious and push our views on people, but then you athiest people are very agressive when you want us to believe that God isn’t real.
