Some Atheists at the University of Texas San Antonio have been offering students porn in exchange for bibles or other religious texts. The program is aptly named "Smut for Smut." The students, part of a group called Atheist Agenda, believe that the bible and other religious texts are nothing more than smut themselves because of how they view women, amongst other groups. Mostly the group has received bibles, but a few Korans and and a Satanic bible round off the collection.
Whether you disagree or not, you have to admit it is quite original. My only concern is the quality of porn they are dishing out. With abundance of free porn on the net, there is definately some stiff competition. The groups president, Thomas Jackson, said they are handing out porn of varying degrees. They actually implemented a rating system of 0 – 5 with 0 being Playboy type porn and 5 being something more hardcore.
One word of advice, if the pages are stuck together… throw it away!

interesting stuff, i’d love to see them try it in saudia arabia or iran.
I bet many muslims would be interested, after all they’re flesh and blood just like the rest of us. However, fear of being put to death would make one think twice ;)
I think that this is disrespectful. No matter what diety you believe in. I am however glad to live in a country where this kind of disrespect can be done. At least we do have the freedom to ridicule religion. I do find it funny that so many “atheists” are such Bible/ Koran/ Torah/ scholars and point out supposed errors and contradictions that nobody else can find without quoting exact scriptures to back their statement. Even then the scripture is most often quoted out of context with the rest of the passage. I can take out of context passages from Hillary Clinton’s book and claim she was gay or hated gays, or twist it into what ever agenda I wanted to pursue. Quote exact scripture in it’s proper context in an discussion, you would be suprised how much more received you arguement will be with Christians. Most proported contradictions are due to the ignorance of the reader, or twisted agendas.
Good point Paul. How about I do an article on “supposed” contradictions in the bible. We can then debate the merit of each one. I can come up with a few of my own and I’m sure others have some as well. You interested? We can put an end to all of this arguing ;)
Why not. Upon the understanding of four points.
1. The KJV or NKJV used as reference.
2. Understand I will not try to convert you.
3. You will not try to convert me.
4. No name calling and insults.
This. I believe will set a standard for an honest, open discussion. My observations about me, to give reference. I am not a hardcore bible thumping redneck. I consider myself a moderate conservative with, kinda middle of the road, if you will. Just FYI
Damn, no conversions! Hahaha, no prob with the rules. If you can, send me any contradictions off the top of your head, I’d appreciate it. Just use the form on the Contact page. Thanks
I agree… very disrespectful. But, then, every now and then it can be good that ideas and morals are challanged a little bit to remind ourselves why we have them. I don’t know what they were trying to prove, but I got a great laugh out of it… there little barter session helps us to see those who take themselves a little to seriously.
I am reminded of the whole “I disagree with what you have to say, but I will defend to my death your right to say it” kind of idea… I can’t remember who to attribute the quote to though.
“I disagree with what you have to say, but I will defend to my death your right to say it†I know Peter Griffin said it on the Familty Guy, but he wasn’t the origin of the phrase. As far as I can tell the origin isn’t factually known but there seems to be a consensus on Voltaire being the origin. Just a bit of trivia to enrich your minds. :)
Just wanted to point out the sinfest comic stripe commenting on church values:

Paul, why are you limiting it to the KJV and NKJVs of the Bible? After all, these versions had only 1600 and 1900 years (respectively) to alter the original message of the Bible. If you’re going to argue inconsistencies, at least try to go with as close to the original source as possible.
Good point Chris. I’m going to think about this one for a little bit. There’s definitely something here worth exploring though. If anyone has suggestions please use the contact form to let me know :) Thanks!

hello guys,
“Some Atheists at the University of Texas San Antonio”
these people don’t understand the “TRUTH” and if you know scripture has shown and proven to these people and us, as sinners according to the word and “OUR” Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
password if you turn your life over these people will hate you as told in scripture because they only know the darkness of their hearts -which they love.
