According to Chris Bennet of High Times magazine, Jesus and his desciples almost certainly used marijuana to carry out some of their miraculous healings. While the magical powers of Mary Jane are of no surprise to teenagers across the world, I would like to know what the conservative right think about this. I imagine kids getting busted would use this as a defense…"But Jesus did it, why can’t I?"
But in all seriousness, there appears to be some evidence supporting this claim. Among the strongest are the Taco Bell wrappers and empty Dorito bags found in the tomb where Jesus was laid to rest. So remember, if it was good enouh for Jesus, then damnit, it’s good enough for you.

Interesting article. I’d like to research that subject a bit more… some of the “scholars” and “experts” seemed a little shady, but who knows.
I’d venture to say that if Jesus was going around healing people with pot then it wouldn’t have been nearly as big of a deal because everyone would have had access to it and been able to use it wherever they were. I’m not saying it doesn’t have medical uses, I’m sure it does, but I wouldn’t pass off Jesus’ miracles to Mother Mary Jane. :)

Its an article from High Times. Whilst I am usually not one to judge, I doubt that they stand up to the highest standards of journalism. I do not read the mag so I really don’t know, but I would not expect a lot of truly valuable information to be coming from a magazine dedicated to weed.
That said, if the article was right it wouldn’t be that odd. In the middle ages, rosewater was used as a medication. They didn’t exactly use science to do these kinds of things, but they did like to experement.

Or, it could have been olive oil, which was what was used for anointing, light, washing, cooking, and pretty much everything you can think of in 1st century palistine!

The marihuana plant was mentioned in the book of Revelations, Ezekel and Isaiah;
“I will take my rest and I will consider in my dwelling place like a clear heat upon herbs. For afore harvest, when the bud is perfect and the sour grape is ripening in the flower, he shall cut off the sprigs with pruning hooks and take away and cut down the branches.” (Isaiah 18:4-5)
But that in your pipe and smoke it
