Live Science has an interesting article on how human ears evolved from fish gills. Scientists claim to have found the missing link between fish gill openings and ears. Is this yet another nail in the Intelligent Design coffin or just the work of the devil :) Whether you’re on the side of ID or evolution, this is an interesting read.

Look at a tadpole sometime (internal gills, but gills slits on side of head), and then notice where the ears on an adult frog are. I think this might be similar to what they are talking about, and I would assume that human ancestors would have been anphibian, right?. Cool discovery tho.

Wasn’t that implied?
Mineral -> unicelullar -> multicellular -> algua -> things that live in water -> fish-like things -> frog-like things -> reptile-like things and about from there about everything else…

Cause ears and gills serve the same function… ? haha, no. Strange how breathing and hearing are suddenly related…

I am not so sure about this. When someone mentions phrases like “missing link” they often don’t understand evolution. In any event, you may find it interesting that human embryos (and all vertebrates) have gill slits very early on in development, that disappear. (Some people have a residual of this and develop a benign lump on their neck called branchial cleft cyst.) This is an indication of a joint ancestor between fish and human.
