As disgusted as I am with Phelps at crew watching the video I found myself getting more irritated at Hannity and Colmes. As is typical instead of giving the actual issue any analysis they just used it as an opportunity for empty posturing. For that matter just bringing her on is a cheap ratings ploy, an easy way to get the viewers outraged which only serves to give these nuts more of the exposure they work so hard for.

I agree with Daveimaine! I’m not from USA, but I supose Hannity & Colmes are the two “interviewers”? (if that’s how you should call them, because they don’t really ask questions and they don’t leave any space to respond either). I don’t think Phelps is a disgusting person, I believe she has been conditioned all her life by family members to think the same way they do. It’s very easy (and tempting) to judge people individually, without taking their context and background in consideration. I believe there should be some psychological help for these people instead of bringing them on TV, laughing at them or insulting them. It’s what you’ve said before: you’re just encouraging their ideas and reinforcing their standpoints. They are sick and therefore should be cured…

I thought it was a good interview. I am a christian and I would not have been able to handle her saying I wasnt when she said that she would. The best solution to render these morons silent is to IGNORE them. By more and more states each day passing a new law prohibiting such protesters within 500 feet of funerals will certainly help in obtaining that end. When they finally realize their misguided messages no longer get into the news, they will eventually be like hemorrhoids that shrink and go away. As I read the comments to this, an interesting thought occurred to me. Suppose for a moment that at some soldier’s funeral this group of loons were gathered and making a fool of themselves as usual. What if someone flipped out and walked into that crowd with a gun and started mowing them down. Now, don’t get me wrong, I’m not hoping for this or anything, but could certainly see it happening with all the hate surrounding them. I am just wondering what the public reaction would be to the attacker. Given the nature of the victims, how hard would the prosecution push the case for harsh penalty, etc.
It just strikes me that given the West Virginia Tech incident… If something like that HAS to happen, why couldn’t it happen at the Phelps church?

You know its funny…I am currently in Iraq and when I first saw this I had gotten extremly angery when I saw what they are doing. Going to funerals and glorifying slodiers deaths. But then I started wondering about what God must be thinking. He gives everyone a choice of what they want to believe in. He puts his word out there in front of you and its up to you to choose to follow it. These are the last days people. God is not doing this to the world. We are. We are responsible for how the world turned out not God. God made a perfect world for us to live in and the first humans on earth turned their back on him and went the way of Satan. Thus turning Gods perfect paradise into satans paradise. God has a plan for the world whether you believe it or not. He will have his day. And satan and all of his wicked will parrish and the world will be a paradise again. The only thing I can suggest is do what is right, help people, be curteous, inform these people that what they are doing is not right and walk away. Odds are they wont change right then and there but at least you tried to help them. They are aware of what they are doing and that is all it takes. In the end God will do what is right.

Ok, so I am Canadian. These stupid ass people are trying to get into Canada this weekend to protest at a Canadian funeral that is taking place this weekend. The young boy was murdered and beheaded on a greyhound bus.
The Westboro Bapstist church wants to come and protest, and say the reason he died was because Canada is the worst country, we have no morals, we have same sex marriages and that is wrong… I know there is nothing I can do about this, but I am so upset over this. These people need a lesson of some sort
