So can you tell me why homosexuality is wrong other than that the bible says so? Seriously, I simply do not see what the big deal is. The majority of homosexuals go to work, come home, talk to their partners, watch a little TV, play with their kids if they have them, eat dinner, read a book, go to bed, get up, go to work, do their jobs, come home, talk to their partners, read a book, put the kids to bed if they have them, eat dinner, go to a movie, play a little Scrabble, etc. Why are people so exercised about people living their lives just as most everyone else seems to, with only the small PRIVATE detail of the gender of their partners being different.Please tell me how that is harmful?

Re “Homosexuality is wrong according to the bible…period.”, well, the bible is wrong, period. Homosexuality is now known to be a natural intrinsic behavior of a small but significant fraction of the population of many species, not just humans.

The purportedly omnibenevolent Christian god is clearly anything but that. Why would such a being need a hell, to punish its own errors exhibited as flaws in its creations?

The bible, that collection of fairy tales and unreason, is also plainly wrong on many other fronts, such as the nature of how the earth was populated, the age of the earth, how diseases propagate, the shape of the earth, and much more.

Speaking of the bible, why is there even a need for a second testament? Did the supposedly perfect god get it wrong in the old one? More significantly, why does a purportedly omnipotent god even require a book to get its message across? Why not just build in the belief into the creations? Pretty poor excuse for a god that you have.

“So take it or leave it.” Indeed, I left it long ago, and I hope good, reasonable people everywhere do the same. No reasonable, thinking person should accept the bible as a basis for life guidance.

God does not hate Jews because Jews were descendants of Abraham he has blessed Jews and for a long time they were his chosen people.

And God does punish people read the Old Testament. God is the same yesterday as today and forever more. He killed thousands of people at once swallowing them live in the earth. He destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah till there was nothing left. How do you think the Hebrews got away from the Egyptians? May I remind you about the seven plagues? Also when the people got out of Egypt they didn’t listen to him they started worshiping other gods and he killed them all. Also when Aaron’s two sons offered up a strange fire to the Lord he killed them.

Many times we forget God is God. There will be a judgment. Don’t think that God’s just going to let you in cause you’re a nice person.

It says in the bible that you must hear that Jesus is the Son of God and that he died on the cross was buried and rose again, believe it, then repent meaning turn away from all your sins, then confess that Jesus Christ(Savior) is the Son of God, and then you must be baptized. Meaning fully submerged into the body of water. In the bible Philip and the Ethiopian Unique both went into the water.

So take it or leave it. You can’t find Sprinkling in the bible.
