While interviewing the cast of The Da Vinci Code on the Today Show, Matt Lauer asks them if Chrisitan groups are correct in demanding that a disclaimer be put on the movie stating it’s a work of fiction. When it looks as if nobody has a proper response, Sir Ian Murray McKellen, famed actor of the X-Men and LOTR series, whips out a good one. I found it quite amusing and I hope you do as well. Enjoy!

That is priceless my friend. I used to move all of the bibles in barnes and nobles to the fiction section and I loved every minute of it.
LOL, you’ve got to be kidding! I’m all over that next time I go. Damn, did I just say that… how childish :)
gasmonso
yeah no kidding, shows how immature you are tobias…
[...] : “Da Vinci Disclaimer” [...]
lol that answer was brilliant :)
uh oh looks like someone’s got up bronco’s snout
gee bronco upset your handbook to life turns out to be a load of dingo’s kidneys?
awww poor thing…
Bible is book full of crap written by deluded people and promoted and protected by power mongers who feel they need to keep a tight grip on all the idiots of this planet (black, white and between).
Da Vinci Code brings to the surface the level of insecurity churches experience. It is obvious DVC is a work of fiction. Only an idiot would need that pointed out to them. It never claims to be a work of fact (unlike the promoters of the Bible who will tell you it’s the “word of goD” as if that’s some sort of commendation); however condescending pastors and ministers, fully aware of the inherant dumbness of their congregations, seek to put a disclaimer in.
How dumb do your priests think you are, X-Tians?
have to agree with Pigboy on one aspect…Christians are some of the most vocal people about their unshaking faith and devotion to their religion of choice. If this is true, why the constant outcry over ANYTHING that dares to challenge/question Christian dogma? Even if it only fiction? If you have a tight grip on your faith, why be so narrow-minded? There is no-one and nothing that is forcing these folks to change their beliefs, especially any Hollywood movie.
To save you all the trouble of switching all the bibles to the fiction section, reach up top and swap the section signs out instead. ;)
