Think again! A man in Kiev decided to test for the existence of God by asking for his/her/its protection as he crept into a lion’s enclosure. As he decended upon the lions, he yelled, "God will save me if he exists!" He then took he shoes off and approached the lions.
Apparently, God was rather busy that afternoon, as the man was quickly taken down by a lioness who then severed his carotid artery. To make matters worse, the zoo was packed with visitors who got way more than they bargained for!

Truly he is (was) an atheist martyr. He has proved that there is no God.

As a co-worker of mine said, didn’t the Romans teach us how God goes on Lion vs. Christian? heh

Testing God? Never a good idea.

No, you’ve got this all wrong.
God heard his prayers.
It’s just that God heard the prayers of the lion and decided give the lion what it prayed for: fresh meat!

By the way. NO! He didn’t prove that there was no God. He only proved that When the Bible says “Do Not Test The Lord God” it’s true. See what happened.

“Do Not Test The Lord God†- how convenient.

First, you don’t test God, He gave us common sense and free will. For those that don’t believe in God, just look around you. Do you really think the wonders of nature, of birth, of seasons, the way our human bodies work….. do you really think this all just happened????
I promise to pray for you all today.
Take Care

Hello Ann,
“For those that don’t believe in God, just look around you.”
*Sid looks behind him, to either side, up, and under his desk.* Nope, no God there. ;)
“Do you really think the wonders of nature, of birth, of seasons, the way our human bodies work….. do you really think this all just happened????”
It’s possible. Not necessarily true, but possible.
“I promise to pray for you all today.”
Do as you like, but all available evidence indicates that prayer does nothing for others. It benefits you, of course, in the same way that meditation and relaxation exercises help just about anyone.

Ann,
Save prayers in my case; I don’t want them. Perhaps instead of that prayer time, could you please use the time to answer the following sets of questions for me?:
What do you think is the explanation of all these things that have in your words “just happened”? Did the god that you apparently believe in create them all?
If so, why are there so many obvious errors in your god’s designs? Our susceptibility to various diseases, for example. Cruelty and suffering, as another.
Furthermore, which god is it that you believe in, e.g. Christian or other?
Thanks.

“If so, why are there so many obvious errors in your god’s designs? Our susceptibility to various diseases, for example. Cruelty and suffering, as another.”
You know NOTHING about Christianity. Yet you come here and question and put down our God. Instead of asking people to answer your questions instead of praying for you, maybe you should go and find out a little bit about Christianity. Ignorance is never an excuse. And dont use your ignorance as arrogance to accuse religious people of being wrong. Know what you speak about first, then speak.
Do not forget that God is not detached from this suffering world. He does not inflict suffering upon us and watch from afar. God sent his son, Christ to ENTER OUR WORLD OF SUFFERING and die for us. God suffered with us, on that cross. Humbled to the death of a criminal.
You’re quick to state that our susceptibility to diseases are “obvious errors”. Trust me, there is no error in God’s design. Our feeble minds may not be able to comprehend why something is the way it is. If we were able to comprehend and able to answer any question about God’s will - well, we would be God! Let’s not forget that God also gave us science, medicine, doctors, minds to solve and invent .. he gives us no problem that has no solution. We are equipped with everything we need, God. We have to use our free will to follow God. Cruelty exists in the world because people use their free will to ignore God and his word.

jack said, “insult, insult, ad hominem, insult, etc.”
Then jack said, “God sent his son, Christ to ENTER OUR WORLD OF SUFFERING and die for us. God suffered with us, on that cross.”
I imagine a father watching his son play with a fork next to an electrical outlet. “Don’t stick that fork in that outlet, son. It will hurt you.” The child, being rebellious and willful, proceeds to disobey his father. The child begins suffering. Now the father knows he can reach out and simply flip a switch that will cut the electricity and end his son’s suffering. However, being a good Christian man, the father decides to act more like God, his LORD. Thus the father grabs his own fork and sticks it into another outlet, causing him to suffer as well. “There,” says the father. “Now that I am not detached from my son’s world of suffering, everything is okay.”
