A 21-year-old blogger in Singapore may face jail time for publishing an offensive caricature of Jesus Christ on his site. Charges were brought against him after people complained about the images. The Sedition Act of Singapore will be the government’s weapon of choice in this matter. Read full story here.
Let’s hope I don’t get 3 years in a federal pound-me-in-the-@ss prison for posting this one :)

Yeah, that’s kind of how they roll over there. The area is a religious/ethinic minefield, and Singapore essentially banned everything that could possibly disturb the peace, usually with stiff fines and the occasional short jail term.
On the one hand, everyone who lives there really seems to like what the government’s accomplished since 1965; on the other hand, it’s a pretty boring place to live.
