"Give me your paycheck, your allowance, Your hard earned money yearning to be wasted, The crisp cash of your teeming wallet. Send these, the ignorant, tempest-tost to me, I lift my offering plate beside the church door!"
These are the words that came to mind when I saw this ghastly Christian monstrasity. This 72ft, quarter-million dollar freak show is compliments of the World Overcomers Outreach Ministries Church in Memphis. But they couldn’t have done it alone. All of this money came from their 12,000 members in the community who apparently couldn’t find a better use for it like poverty, drug abuse, etc. But never fear, Pastor Alton R. Williams faced the 72-foot statue and blessed the city of Memphis against disease, crime, intolerance and poverty.
Yea, that should do the trick, a good ole blessing and Jesus will take care of the rest. How ignorant can people be to waste their money of something as stupid as this. I know it’s the Bible Belt, but this is ridiculous. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see this. Evelyn Douglass, 11, said she takes the long way home to avoid seeing the "big green thing"."The Statue of Liberty is a symbol of the United States of America. The cross represents a specific religion," Douglass said. "It’s not right that they are mixing the two. That church is trashing the meaning of America."
Well said sister! It’s no wonder that other countries can’t take us serious.
Shout out to Mike for sending me this one!
UPDATE: Just noticed that Rickler submitted this to Digg. So DIGG IT!

@mohamed and KRJ
Keep up the discussion, it’s increadbily funny seeing the both of you flinging quotes and pointing out how wrong the other is, based solely on the fact that he’s not you.
I don’t say he is wrong or I’m trying to prove so, I’m just pointing out some things about Bible that doesn’t make sense, and he is kindly agreed that man tampered with the Bible, at lease he is brave enough to admit that.
Actually Mohamed, C.S. has a cousin that lives with her named Charles and his e-mail address is different from hers. Alcari, to answer your question, homosexuality is wrong because god doesn’t want his children to be homosexuals. God will still love you, because he loves his children no matter what. And somebody at my church told me that if you are a homosexual you will go to hell if you don’t turn your life over to God.
Let me tell eles sidfaiwu if you every go into my I.M. again I will haunt you down!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean you
Ok, first-off, KRJ and CS, Sid almost certainly didn’t go anywhere near your instant messenging services, like you’re claiming he did. Read Simon Bond’s reply that’s from the thirtieth of June about IP addresses. It’s long, but informative. Sid used the same kind of procedure they use to figure out who habitual vandals are at Wikipedia. I’m not saying either of you are vandals; I’m just giving an example of a similar process.
Secondly, KRJ, someone telling you something is bad does not mean it’s bad. Loving, mutual relationships that harm no one aren’t quite as much of a problem as dropping $260,000 of other peoples’ money into a huge statue that isn’t particularly inviting. Money like that could have been better spent providing food and clothing to the poor and hungry people in South America, Africa, the Middle East, and even in the shelters and on the streets in our own American cities.
Third, I raise my hand to Alcari’s call.
“”Let me tell eles sidfaiwu if you every go into my I.M. again I will haunt you down!!!!!!!!!!!”"
Hey, I like that threat, could you please hunt me down as well?
“”homosexuality is wrong because god doesn’t want his children to be homosexuals.”"
Aww, to bad. I even pointed out I wanted YOUR answer. I asked you to think about it but, in a perfect display of what religion is all about, you simple repeat words you’ve heared before, without thinking for yourself. I blame your parents and teachers for not teaching you to think.
What you’re actually saying is this: “God made these people the way they are. God wants them to supress their real selves, wants them to suffer their intire lives. As if that’s not enough, they will burn in hell when they die.”
Some other things ‘god does not want his children to do’ are: Eat shellfish, Condone any non-christian anywhere, Show your religion in public.
Of course, because of the bible’s dubious nature, there are passages saying the exact opposite. To add to the list, ‘god wants his children to’
Rape, pillage and murder non-christian cities, burn temples from other religions, sacrifice whole farms of animals, take slaves from neighboring countries, procreate with your brother’s wife, should he die… the list goes on.
My points is this: Why the hell are you using the bible to take morals from? it’s full of so much ancient, obsolete crap. If you start picking and choosing which passages to accept and which ones to discard, why not throw out the book and do whatever makes the most people happy?
FYI, i’m not homosexual, but I really, really hate idiots who think religion should have any say in daily social life (or anywhere else, but that’s for another time).
Alcari, that’s is not what I’m saying. Let me put this in my own terms. Homosexuality is wrong to me because you shouldn’t like the same sex,” taht’s nasty.” And you can’t have children. And you can spread disases. Although you can with the oppostie sex. But you want be with man and man or woman and woman. And you guys are getting totally off the discussion here!!!
Why should you not have sex with the same sex? What real reasons there are to prohibit it?
SDT’s do not care of the sex of who is a carrier, not all people even want to have children due various reasons, one I have met often being the current state of the world.
SO, give some real reasons not in that annoying compounding literary piece.
a lot of people have a lot of habits that are considered “nasty” by others. that alone should not be a reason to make something illegal…
“And somebody at my church told me that if you are a homosexual you will go to hell if you don’t turn your life over to God”
maybe once you grow up you won’t take everything you hear from others literally.
I will tell why it’s wrong, because God said it’s wrong, so it’s wrong, it’s that easy.
Sigh, once more that morose and inane excuse.
Give a real reason, not fictitious, not assumed word of god, not what papa told you but a real reason for why you should not have sex with the same sex.
A reason for this day and age and with our current educational level, within our society.
Hiding behind the ‘god said so’ is just about as lame as one legged horse pumped full of thorazine.
I don’t hide what God said so, it’s the truth God said so, so he knows better, he creats us and that’s how he wants, he create us.
Homosexuality is an animal doings, it doesn’t matter what education level you are.
I hate that people stick everything to the education, what the education has to do with the subject.
The only normal relation-ship should be between man and woman, and for the reason that we should build this earth, and keep our kind going, I don’t how two guys can get a kid, or how two women can get a kid?
Homosexuality was wrong and it is wrong and it will be wrong.
They tried hard to prove that Homesexuality found in the genes, and they tried hard to expalin how person born with it, but they didn’t come up with any scientfic fact support their claim.
You guys think bragging about education and science make you unique, but it doesn’t, it’s just make you more ignorant.
So, in short you have no real reason apart god said so. Repeating wrong many times makes one seem like a copy of Anita Bryant, it does not give reasoning.
I did not say, hide what god said but hide behind what god said, but you most likely knew it, obfuscating issues can be a trademark of faith, neh?
And as a tidbit, I did add the education bit to prevent the annoying, but they are/were uneducated clauses.
I do not care if they tried to find it in genes or not, the matter is not what they did but what reasons you have, simply put reasons which are not god said so, it is wrong, you cannot have children.
When pressed for reasons most homophobes lash out and borrowing from Phillip Slater, ‘Methinks the Homophobe Doth Protest Too Much’. More of the issue can be read;
So once more, why you should not have sex with the same sex? What real reasons there is to prohibit it?
jaganath, do you realise what you’re asking? you’re asking for reasoning from people who have never done so, who repeatedly show they are incapable of thinking for themselves and whose only argument is “Because it says so in this book here”
also, we’ve been of topic for the last 40 posts. before that, there was some talk about whose fictitious account of what never happened was more thruthfull.
Oh, I know, I truly know what I am asking. I also think I know what the answer is but one needs to follow through the song and dance repeatedly to even get past a fraction of the defensive indoctrination.
But on occasion, you do get reasoning and those moments of reasoning are worth all the frustration.
But the same goes with those wily three who have not said anything of the IP, nor have heard anything of the same IP or even seen the afore mentioned IP.
On both occasions admittance would break the imagery they have created and facing the truth is what they never ever want to do as it might even show that they are wrong and they need to think again.
But am also a rotten bastich :) who have been duking it out with muslims the last weeks.
Mohamed, that’s the thing about science. We acknowledge that there are things we don’t know right now and probably won’t know much more about in our lifetimes. The location/existence of a ‘gay gene’ is one of them. Just because they don’t get it YET doesn’t mean they WON’T get it. Just because we don’t know that where it is/if it is RIGHT NOW doesn’t mean that there isn’t one.
Where would we be if, 100 years ago, everyone on the planet had just said, “Everything we don’t know RIGHT NOW about nature must be God divinely influencing everything, let’s not go any deeper?” I think you’ll grant me that we certainly wouldn’t be having this discussion scattered all over the planet and connected through a large network of computers. Just because they haven’t cracked it YET doesn’t mean they won’t.
The Egyptians were greatly advanced for their time, but to them the sun was a man in a chariot. They didn’t possess the means to learn that the sun was a giant flaming ball of hydrogen, or for that matter that the Earth goes around it instead of it circling the Earth.
Homosexuality is behavioral and is not jenetic, God gives people choice to be who ever they want to be, so if it’s jenetic, that would mean that God is not fair( which is not trur)
Tha’t the reason some people put rumors around the issue, and they make it jenetic, and I heard some people telling me that I’m ignorant when I told them it’s not genetic(I didn’t know the answer then), but I was confiednet that God is just and he will not prohibit something and not give the choice.
The idea to say we might figure in 100 years don’t make it as fact.
Alcari,
If you I got one million reasons, it won’t be enought to convince you majesity, the other thing I believe in God not in reasons, I’m not servent of reasons, I’m servent of God, if he said it’s wrong, he is right because he knows better, he created me and you, and he know what is the best for me and you.
And homosexuality is behaviour because …. god said so?
Do you know many homosexuals, have you conversed with them about their need to … behave?
“” I believe in God not in reasons, I’m not servent of reasons, I’m servent of God, if he said it’s wrong, he is right because he knows better, he created me and you, and he know what is the best for me and you.”"
Well, can’t argue against that much ignorance. Talking sense into you is like getting a tree to run down the street.
Homosexuality may or may not be genetic, that’s totally beside the point. The point remains that Homosexuality is not a choice, it’s not something you can change, thus, punishing them for it is just plain wrong.
“”The idea to say we might figure in 100 years don’t make it as fact.”"
He’s saying that to counter your retarded argument that ‘we don’t know, so it’s god.’ which is just stupid.
Jagannth, Homosexuality is wrong because not only did God say that it’s wrong, but a study in the journal AIDS reported that in Holland, where “gay marriage†has been legal since 2001, HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases are soaring among homosexual men. The study notes that “partnered†homosexuals have “outside†lovers, although fewer than the “unpartnered,†and that men in these relationships are still contracting the AIDS virus at alarming rates. This is progress? I got this from http://www.cwfa.org. Oh, Mohamed, are you muslim? I don’t have anything against you, I just want to know. Also because I like your comments!!!
K.R.J,
Regarding your post 170, perhaps you are also aware that sexually transmitted diseases are also transmitted by heterosexuals? And you may also be aware that heterosexuals in the general case also have premarital and extramarital sex?
So, then, following your argument, your god should also opposed to heterosexuality. Is that the case?
Modern man has a nearly perfect answer to STD’s: condoms (and related barrier products). That answer did not come from religion; religion provides no such answer.
Religion is no basis for morality. It is certainly a basis for nasty and harmful discrimination, in the case that you are presenting.
Hello Korgan,
Your comment is right on. But there is one minor correction I would make. Religion does provide an answer to STDs: Abstinence until monogamy. But notice that this suggested answer works just as well for homosexuals as it does for heterosexuals.
I would advice against entering into a moral debate with K.R.J., C.S., and/or Ken. They attempted to deceive us and actually lied about their relationship. When exposed, the reacted with anger and even treats. They may be able to overcome some of their hypocrisy if they come clean about how they are related, why they wanted to hide their relationship, and apologize for their threats. Until then, I don’t see how anyone can take their opinions about morality seriously.
Thanks, Sid.
Correction accepted. I thought of adding something about that but just didn’t want to get into the abstinence bit, given that it isn’t a practical or popular solution.
Of course, you also don’t need religion to reach the stunning conclusion that not having sex reduces the risk of getting a sexually transmitted disease :-).
Appreciate your point re KRJCSKen.
Regards.
doh! I just noticed my typo: ‘treats’ should read ‘threats’. I wish more people responded with treats :)
Exactly. The problem is that since their religion’s moral rules happen to partially overlap with common-sense morality, believers assume that all of the religion’s moral rules are also correct. That’s like saying, “Alice in Wonderland got the color of some rabbits correct, then everything in the book must be correct.” Nonsense, to say the least.
Just to let people know, the sex before marriage is prohibited in Islam, so if you are hetro and did before marriage, that considered one of the sins.
“Do you know many homosexuals, have you conversed with them about their need to … behave?”
I have see homosexual people and I dealt with some of them, but I don’t want to know their needs, and I don’t want to have any thing to do with their needs :)
They had a choice and they took the wrong decision
Sid, you can keep thinking that C.S. is lieing. And I don’t know who Ken is. So keep doing that because you are doing a great job at it. Now korgan, I am aware that heterosexuals can spread diaeses, but that’s not what we are talking about!!!
And I also like what you said, Mohamed. Are you muslim?
#170
Equating a spread of a disease which can be easily prevented by using proper protective measure as reason for wrongness of homosexuality is not a real reason but just grasping for straws.
Reason for any increase in the infection rate of the various STDs is not your sexual preference but your carelessness, when assuming normal infection patterns. Use that condom, barebacking does not feel any better.
In the Usa the prevalence rate of Hiv is 0.6% and in Netherlands it is 0.2% even if admittedly the number of homosexuals seem to be higher in the Netherlands by some statistics. Does not seem to have affected greatly to the statistics, that sleeping around in Netherlands.
Also I find it almost morbidly amusing that you would be worried about homosexuals getting Hiv as would that not be the perfect solution for the bible bearers problem with them? Also according to your info would not allowing them to marry even increase the infection rate and take care of the problem?
Also in the year 2005 the rate of Hiv infection rate had doubled over a decade within the African American whereupon it had stayed the same within the Caucasians. Does that mean that the number of homosexuals is on the rise amongst African Americans then?
Another piece of peculiar information is that half of the infected do not get the Hiv drugs they should get, hazard a guess about the socioeconomic status and/or skin tone of those who do receive it?
There really is no real reason to object to homosexuality apart being taught so by people who have abstained from all the good teachings they claim to follow.
When you objectively consider it, you would realize it does not harm anyone.
#175
So you have seen and dealt with them, must have been like I have been dealing and seeing muslims? Eating, drinking talking, socializing and spending time with them? Fighting too, to be honest.
No?
Then who said homosexuality is a choice, that god again? How you can say it is a choice if you do not know any, dare to talk to any and get the truth? Was it written somewhere or was it just added to the list of no-no’s?
I find it odd that muslims are so against the homosexuality at times and then times change and it is common practice until hardliners gain the upper hand again. There is quite a lot of Grecian in the muslim cultures when hardcore quran bashers are not around, wifes being breeders and boys being entertainment.
#176
Well originally the conversation was about the absurdity and idolatry of WOOMC then it changed to the deceptiveness and unchristian behaviour, not to mention unresponsive actions and then the homosexual part.
I’m a Muslim.
That’s cool Mohamed!! I have alot of relatives that are muslim!!!
yes, quickly lets change the topic when we’re loosing the debate…again.
In responce to 170, I don’t know where you got your info from, but it’s clearly wrong. Being Dutch myself, i find it a LOT easier to read the document containing all those nasty facts.
To add a little to what Jag pointed out in 178, there has been a DECREASE in new HIV diagnosis of 16% in homosexual men.
The cumulative number incresed of course, but that completely normal, the absolute number is on the decline ever since (surprise surprise) 2001.
And, to do somthing you’re incapable of, here’s a source. the national institute for health and environment. http://www.rivm.nl/Images/aids-grafiek_tcm4-21101.gif The bottom line shows New cases each year.
C.S. said in comment #109: “Sidfaiwu,I don’t know Ken and k.R.J.”
K.R.J. said in comment #148: “And, C.S. is a girl because that’s my best friend.”
So either C.S. lied about not knowing you or you lied about C.S. being your best friend. Which one of you lied and why? Why do all three of you have consistent IP addresses? I’m still waiting for straight answers.
F.Y.I I just met C.S a few weeks ago and she became one of my best friends. Are you happy now?!
Mohamed, I know it’s not proven to be genetic, but I’m saying don’t close the book on it just because they didn’t find it now. I simply brought out the most popular theory, but to tell the truth, I don’t think it’s genetic either. There are physical differences in the brains of homosexual people in areas influenced by hormones before birth as well as other features that are not solely genetically influenced, but are influenced by hormone imbalances. There are several hypotheses, and scientists are not done testing them all.
At one time, the fact that the Earth is round was ‘just an idea that we might know about in 100 years’. I’m not saying any of the hypotheses are fact, I’m asking you to be more open to them instead of writing them off because of your intolerance to the people who they affect.
Taylor Beckitt,
I’m not writting any thing off, I’m just telling you, they will not find one proof no matter how hard they work.
The whole idea that the homosexual has no choice is bogus, the only reason for people to assume that, to justfiy their doing and to show that God is brutal, he didn’t give them choice and then he is punishing them.
God gave every body choice, therefore they have to have choice.
Alcari, how are you going to say lets change the topic, but yet you still want to talk about homosexuality. Even though you said you are not gay, but I’m getting a feeling that you are gay.
God is brutal, vindictive, dictatorial git, who gave you one choice only, submit or burn in hell. What kind of a choice is that? Apart being a choice given to you by schoolyard bullies who on a whim might slap you around just for the fun of it even if you submit.
The thing which proves that all the major religions are related closely is just the same god in all religions. The big bully in the skies and his posse who is all too eager to fulfill his wishes even before those flunkies know what those might be.
Jagannath,
That’s the choice, can you do anything about it, can you change it? No, I know how mercifull God is, but I will go with you, can you change this fact?
So just to know, we all are going between God’s hand, so keep saying what ever you want, you are not hurting him a bit, you are hurting your self.
Choices where there is only one acceptable path are not real choices but threats, either you obey or I make you suffer. Hardly a choice any benevolent being would give you. Assuming I would be given such choice, I would take the suffering which would prove my point. God is a gobshite.
Actually I do not believe in a god, not in a sense major religions present it. There might be one, or not but that is not my problem, I do not need a god.
At times I do wish there would be few around so all those who need to be ordered around would be done so instead of them just inventing what they hope their god would command to do.
I do find the beliefs of a so merciful and forgiving and all other good qualities being part of a god as the major religions today claim to be utterly ridiculous and false. By just reading the holy books, you can see that the gods in those books are nothing of what they are claimed to be.
Why cannot the religions say their god is a git, scuzz, and total wanker who ballyrags everyone around but we believe in him as we are too afraid not to. That kind of a religion, I could even respect a bit.
I think people, prior christianity, had the right idea, gods are not interested of humans but they might meddle and the best one can hope for is that they do not notice you.
@KRJ
Right…just met her/him last week…that’s convenient… Thruth be told, I would prefer you all to be one person. With fewer of you here, the average IQ will skyrocket.
“”Alcari, how are you going to say lets change the topic, but yet you still want to talk about homosexuality.”"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irony
“”Even though you said you are not gay, but I’m getting a feeling that you are gay.”"
Sure, I’m gay. Tell you what, just to make you happy, I’m also a Nazi, Terrorist, Communist and French to boot. If you’re doing avoiding argument, pretending to be someone else and flining about random accusations,
would you care to answer the questions?
@mohamed
“”I’m not writting any thing off, I’m just telling you, they will not find one proof no matter how hard they work.”"
Erm…. Am I the only one who sees a problem with that sentance?
@Jag
“”Why cannot the religions say their god is a git, scuzz, and total wanker who ballyrags everyone around but we believe in him as we are too afraid not to.”"
Well, that’s simple. If you tell people that ‘our god is evil and will crush you like a bug when needed’ that doesn’t exactly rake in the donations, nor is it very good at controlling the populace.
@mohamed again
“”That’s the choice, can you do anything about it, can you change it? No, I know how mercifull God is, but I will go with you, can you change this fact?”"
How, by Thor, can you call god mercifull when you’ve just agreed that the only options are a life in servitude or damnation?
I guess for you, being robbed must be a wonderfull experience, the benign robber giving you the great ‘choice’ between being robbed or being stabbed to death must be a joyous occasion for you?
Alcari, then why did you lie? And you seem to want to get on everybody’s case and try to want to confrentate. And I am one person. So you say you are a terrorist, did you have anything to do wuth 9/11 or have you ever been a terrorist on a plane?
to KRJ
“So you say you are a terrorist”
Alcari’s either proving a point by implying that it’s irrelevant whether he’s gay or not or he’s using sarcasm.
to Mohamed
“I’m not writting any thing off, I’m just telling you, they will not find one proof no matter how hard they work.”
That’s exactly what I meant by ‘writing off’, sorry if I used an outdated expression that no one’s familiar with anymore, I don’t know if they are or if they aren’t. I really do need to speak more simply.
I understoos what you meant with it, I just try to confirm that they will not find one no matter what they did.
for the people who are saying that God is brutal, God is mercifull so far that he didn’t punish you yet, and you still get you bounties from him, and yet he is giving you the chance to choose what ever you want, till the day comes where you don’t have any choice, every thing will under God controll, and no more choice.
God can forgive any thing but not beleiving in him, or worshiping someone else with him(like Jesus).
Taylor bickett, thanks for responding back for Alcari (sarcasm). You always seem to want correct somebody by their mistakes. I hate when people do that!!!!
I just want to post this story about Zamzam well which exist in Mecca where people drink from, and it has the famous story about Ismaeil which you don’t beleive in, when he hits the ground with his feet, and the well opened up gush water, never dried till now, and it will never dry, and science has no explanation for it.
here is the story, by the way I copied and paste, so I don’t find smart person accusing me doing that.
Let me go back to how it all started. In 1971, an Egyptian doctor wrote to the European press, a letter saying that Zamzam water was not fit for drinking purposes. I immediately thought that this was just a form of prejudice against the Muslims and that since his statement was based o*!n the assumption that since the Ka’aba was a shallow place (below sea level) and located in the center of the city of Makkah, the wastewater of the city collecting through the drains fell into the well holding the water.
Fortunately, the news came to King Faisal’s ears who got extremely angry and decided to disprove the Egyptian doctor’s provocative statement. He immediately ordered the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources to investigate and send samples of Zamzam water to European laboratories for testing the portability of the water.
The ministry then instructed the Jeddah Power and Desalination Plants to carry out this task. It was here that I was employed as a desalting engineer (chemical engineer to produce drinking water from sea water). I was chosen to carry out this assignment. At this stage, I remember that I had no idea what the well holding the water looked like. I went to Makkah and reported to the authorities at the Ka’aba explaining my purpose of visit.
They deputed a man to give me whatever help was required. When we reached the well, it was hard for me to believe that a pool of water, more like a small pond, about 18 by 14 feet, was the well that supplied millions of gallons of water every year to hajis ever since it came into existence at the time of Ibrahim(Alayhee Salaam) many, many centuries ago.
I started my investigations and took the dimensions of the well. I asked the man to show me the depth of the well. First he took a shower and descended into the water. Then he straightened his body. I saw that the water level came up to just above his shoulders. His height was around five feet, eight inches. He then started moving from o*!ne corner to the other in the well (standing all the while since he was not allowed to dip his head into the water) in search of any inlet or pipeline inside the well to see from where the water came in. However, the man reported that he could not find any inlet or pipeline inside the well.
I thought of another idea. The water could be withdrawn rapidly with the help of a big transfer pump which was installed at the well for the Zamzam water storage tanks.
In this way, the water level would drop enabling us to locate the point of entry of the water. Surprisingly, nothing was observed during the pumping period, but I knew that this was the o*!nly method by which you could find the entrance of the water to the well.
So I decided to repeat the process. But this time I instructed the man to stand still at o*!ne place and carefully observe any unusual thing happening inside the well.
After a while, he suddenly raised his hands and shouted, “Alhamdullillah! I have found it. The sand is dancing beneath my feet as the water oozes out of the bed of the well.”
Then he moved around the well during the pumping period and noticed the same phenomenon everywhere in the well. Actually the flow of water into the well through the bed was equal at every point, thus keeping the level of the water steady.
After I finished my observations I took the samples of the water for European laboratories to test.
Before I left the Ka’aba Sharief, I asked the authorities about the other wells around Makkah.
I was told that these wells were mostly dry. When I reached my office in Jeddah. I reported my findings to my boss who listened with great interest but made a very irrational comment that the Zamzam well could be internally connected to the Red Sea. How was it possible when Makkah is about 75 kilometres away from the sea and the wells located before the city usually remains dry?
The results of the water samples tested by the European laboratories and the o*!ne We analysed in our own laboratory were found to be almost identical.
CALCUIM & MAGNESUIM IN ZAM ZAM WATER:
The difference between Zamzam water and other water (city water) was in the quantity of calcium and magnesium salts. The content of these was slightly higher in Zamzam water. This may be why this water refreshes tired hajis.
FLOURIDE IN ZAMZAM WATER:
But more significantly, the water contains fluorides that have an effective germicidal action.
Moreover, the remarks of the European laboratories showed that the water was fit for drinking.
Hence the statement made by the Egyptian doctor was proved false. When this was reported to King Faisal he was extremely pleased and ordered the contradiction of the report in the European Press. In a way, it was a blessing that this study was undertaken to show the chemical composition of the water.
In fact, the more you explore, the more wonders surface and you find yourself believing implicitly in the miracles of this water that Allah Ta’ala bestowed as a gift o*!n the faithful coming from far and wide to the desert land for pilgrimage.
Let me sum up some of the features of Zamzam water:
Never Dried Up: This well has never dried up. o*!n the contrary it has always fulfilled the demand for water.
Same Salt composition: It has always maintained the same salt composition and taste ever since it came into existence.
Portability: Its portability has always been universally recognised as pilgrims from all over the world visit Ka’aba every year for Hajj and umrah, but have never omplained about it. Instead, they have always enjoyed the water that refreshes them.
Universal taste: Water tastes different at different places. Zamzam water’s appeal has always been universal.
No Biological Growth: This water has never been chemically treated or chlorinated as is the case with water pumped into the cities.Biological growth and vegetation usually takes place in most wells. This makes the water unpalatable owing to the growth of algae causing taste and odour problems. But in the case of the Zamzam water well, there wasn’t any sign of biological growth.
Centuries ago, Hajra A.S. searched desperately for water in the hills of Saffa and Marwa to give to her newly born son Ismail (Alayhee Salaam). As she ran from o*!ne place to another in search of water, her child rubbed his feet against the sand. A pool of water surfaced, and by the grace of Allah Ta’ala, shaped itself into a well which came to be called Zamzam water.
May we appreciate and utilize this great Ni’mah of Allah Ta’ala. Ameen
“”Alcari’s either proving a point by implying that it’s irrelevant whether he’s gay or not or he’s using sarcasm.”"
Phew, I thought it was me, being obscure and hard to follow. Glad to see someone is getting it. Even if it’s right below a link about irony….
And to KRJ, Your responce doesn’t exactly improve my, or anyone else’s opinion of you. I also notice how you still haven’t responded to the questions.
Also, I find it increadibly amusing that you seem to think I’ve hijacked a plane and crashed it into a building, and then walked away from it to sit here, posting away on fora.
@mohamed
It’s nice to see you’re capable of copy-paste, but what exactly is your point? And how is it relevant to the discussion?
Alcari,
I’m tired of the disscusion about what’s going on right now, and I know it’s not going any where, so I decided to put something for people who thing existed here for a reason, but there are things like Zamzam well, found on the earth with out reason, it just here because God wants so, and scientist still can’t figure out where is this water coming from in the middle of desert never dried up for thousands of years, and it will never dry up, because what ever God gives will never run out.
But oh where do the results of the analysis can be seen? That is a thing which inquiring minds want to know as the sufficiently high levels of fluorine has detrimental effect on children, and specifically on their mental abilities, as expected as fluorine is one of those toxic chemicals which can be beneficial in moderation.
Well Alcari, I didn’t know that you were being sarcastic. And you used it in a wrong way. Anybody else whose younger than me would think that you were serious. And you are suppose to express your answer not use sarcasim!!!
And also Taylor, I didn’t want you telling me what Alcari’s answer was, bacause you are not him, he could have told me himself!!!
