Samuel Jackson will voice God in an upcoming audio book series of the New and Old Testement. "Jackson was given the lead role because producers felt his deep, authorative voice was perfect for the role of God."
Everybody knows that when the Man Upstairs speaks, he does so in a powerful, deep, manly voice. While many are pleased with the choice of God, many are not. Millions of Star Wars fans are disgusted that James Early Jones, the voice of Darth Vader, was not selected. While many white Christians expressed their outrage that God is portrayed by a black man… everyone knows God is an old white man with a white puffy beard.
Regardless of where you stand on this issue, Samuels Jackson’s performance is spectacular. ReligiousFreaks.com has obtained an exclusive clip of this unreleased project. Click here and listen to a brief passage from the bible as read by Samuel L. Jackson. I thought he got a little carried away at the end, but nonetheless it was spectacular.
Very powerful indeed.

God is American?
Figures.
Not that I care, really, as he’s about as real as your president.

Dam knit, I have been watching this project for about a year now and the names they were tossing around and I NEVER would have thought Samuel L. would have triumphed, especially not over the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Ali G., and my personal top pick, Stephen Colbert. In any case, I can’t wait till this hits the shelves, reading the Bible is too boring, but hearing the Bible, WOOOT what a blast!
