Thousand-Hand Bodhisattva

buddhism symbolHere is an outstanding, dare I say beautiful, performance by a very unique group of performers known as the Chinese Disabled People’s Performing Art Troupe. A mouthful indeed. This troupe consists of about 21 men and women with hearing and visual impairment or physical disability. They have dazzled audiences in over 40 countries since 1987.

The performance here is called the Thousand-hand Bodhisattva [1] and is part of their My Dream show. As you watch this, remember all of them are deaf or nearly blind. I find it nearly impossible that they can maintain that level of timing and synchronization. Absolutely top notch.

If anyone knows more about this please share with us! :)
