Just like to say that old UncleMidriff made a very good point up earlier. I agree with everything said about the ludicrousy of banning the video, but i also like the comment that he made about the church often being pretty damn stupid. If only there was a way of getting rid of the stupidity of the heavy duty believers - i won't hold my breath.

@ben

whoa, easy there cowboy. i am not even american, least of all an american patriot. my country was also at one point being attacked by the USA (apparently fighting muslims terrorists was not OK prior to 9/11, then miraculously changed). but all of that is in the past. i think we have a pretty real treat in form of the muslim world. europe will feel the problem far before the USA do. european countries like france are dealing with quickly breeding minorities. chances are your comments are coming from your personal dislike for GWB (i also don't care much for him). as for the bin laden comparison, now thats just silly.

there are many scenarios where we DO need to go there and regulate."

Like what?

extremist muslim groups were never shy of exporting their mujahedin and their agenda.

Irrelevant. America exports its filthy culture too.

sometimes that would suit the US policy and sometimes it wouldn’t.

Irrelevant. The US does not have any say in what people do in non-US places (for the purposes of this sentence, Iraq and the United Kingdom are included.)

i am simply arguing that the less of that is allowed the better off the whole world will be.

Correct, but perhaps we need to look at the situation that is creating this insanity and look at ways to relieve them. America created many of the problems that inspired much of it all.

also oil. if and when the supply’s get tight, i think we need to simply take the oil.

That is where you cross the line. Are you completely off your arrogant head? The USA cannot simply take oil that does not belong to it! Your crappy country will 'simply' buy the oil like everyone else, and like it. How dare you suggest that the USA may just invade any country it wishes when it wants cheap oil imports? If the country producing the oil wants to charge you lot for it, you will simply pay: the assumption that the US can get around any problem that threatens it (such as gasolene prices being about 1/3 of the UK price) by invading countries willy-nilly is the attitude that will get you all nuked some day.

self-determination aside, iran (and like-minded countries)

Like the USA.

should never be allowed to develop nuclear capability

Indeed, and neither should the rest of the world. I am not comfortable with Israel having nukes, but at least I know that Israel's prime minister has the capability of basic conjugation.

the rest of the world will be grateful.

Praise be to our wonderful benevolent American world police force, for protecting the civilised areas of this planet from the evil godless Muslims who threaten our very existence!

People like you make me sick. You are arrogant, self-inflated, patriotic idiots, and the world would be far better off without you than it would be without Osama bin Laden.

Also, considering that the big boy of the nuclear weapons keep refusing to sign those treaties which would stop making new nuclear weapons, why would smaller countries that seem to be targeted by the afore mentioned country be denied of them? Without nukes they probably feel that they are just the next target.

I am pessimistic by nature so if that leads to the end of the world, so be it.

I don't capitalize deities either. I heard somewhere "Everyone wants to go to heaven but no one wants to die". The leaders, every leader, is good at sending his followers to die for what they believe but the leaders never go. I don't underestimate fanatics, I'm sure it can happen I have a problem with trampling on the human rights of "innocents" simply because there's a chance. If I had more faith in governments, people and their motives maybe I'd feel a bit differently.

I havent got a problem with "Isreal" having nukes. Nor do I have a problem with "Iran" having nukes. These countries know that if they launch, they're dead to.

It starts becomming a problem when [unassociated fanatic group #142] gets a nuke.

----
Elliott Says:

I’m just as afraid of a psycho getting nukes as anyone else. However, even the most rabid zealot must know (I sincerely hope so) that the people you claim to be looking out for are and a boatload of innocents are a going to have the worst day of the life.
----

Right, but consider this. The people they are looking out for are good little muslems and the rest dont count right? So if they nuke the US and the US nukes Iran to a parking lot, all the good little muslims are going to see Mr allah (sorry, i never capitalize deities names) anyway, so all they have accomplished is helping them to their ultimate goal. Never underestimate the dangerous mind of a religious fanatic.

I’m a christian, not a Churchian; I don’t worship the church. The church is fallible and dumb and mean and needs to be slapped about every now and then.

Wow you guys DO exist! Simply based on hypothetical reasoning I came to the conclusion that such wonderous beasts did exist, but not until today did I find evidence! Well done, I tip my hat to you sir ;)

If only more christians were like this...

I agree with some of what you say. I'd prefer no nukes for Iran, I'm not a fan of Isreal having them either. I'd be much happier if the US kept the majority of our money here.
