Every year at this time, the Trinity Church in Cedar Hill Texas takes the haunted house to the next level. Scared yet? Ok, then add the weirdest, freakiest, scariest material you’ve seen. Scared now? Well, then add a huge dose of Christianity to it. Ah Ha! Now I know you’re scared.
Now make no mistake, Trinity Church is not doing this to get in the Halloween spirit. They have one goal in mind and that is to save as many kids as possible from the eternal flames of hell. While it may sound funny to you and me, I can assure you that they are über serious.
They elaborately portray various sins in a very graphic and realistic manner. These sins include a girl having an abortion, taking drugs, suicide, and of course homosexuality. The goal here is to scare that absolute sh!t our of these kids so they will cling tightly to a life of religion.
Words can’t describe it. It has been made into a documentary and a Broadway play if you can believe it. It’s very powerful and very well done. Take a look for yourself. These videos are taken from Hell House a Documentary Film. There are 5 videos to choose from so be sure to see them all. This years Hell House is hosted on yet another site. It’s very professionally done and contains a trailer that I do not have here. So go take a peek for another taste of this crazy Christian acid trip.

This whole thing reminds me a little bit of the Health Care bill that passed Congress recently.. stay with me, because I will draw the parallel soon… Pelosi drew a lot of heat for telling Congress to simply vote for it, and then we can find out everything that is in it. These morons act in exactly the same way… Commit to Jesus today, just in case you die tomorrow, so you don’t have to go to Hell if you do. THEN, we will tell you all about it. We’ll tell you the rules and how much of your money you have to give to us each week. There LOTS of things you are not allowed to do anymore, and a lot of things that you will be REQUIRED to do as well. You should invite your friends, too. Could you live with yourself if they died and went to Hell before you had a chance to speak the “truth” to them?
Certainly I am not the only one that find this a little bit odd.
Toward the end of the show, they said that out of 75,000 attendees, 15,000 either gave or recommitted their lives to the faith. Is 20% of the country really dumb enough to fall for these tactics? Unfortunately, I believe the answer is yes. These people prey on that, literally attacking weak people and convincing them they will experience an eternity of agony if they do not change their ways. Sad, sad, sad.
I was raised in the church and grew up reading the Bible constantly. To this day, I believe in God, Saviour Jesus, and the greatest commandment that we are to love Him, and love our fellow man.
I am in my late 20s. I smoke cigarettes, drink alcohol (to excess at times), go to parties and spend time with my friends (some of whom happen to be gay) when I am not working. Does any of this separate me from my creator? Trinity, if they have any real biblical background will likely define sin as anything one can do that separates him from God. None of this does, and I challenge anyone to prove otherwise.
I have not been inside a church, other than for major holidays, in several years, and have no plans to go back in the foreseeable future. I simply refuse to associate myself with such closed-mindedness and hypocrisy.

This is important for you to read and understand. It’s a really good read.
Hell House is not designed to scare people into Christianity. What Hell House does is present real life situations that happen everyday. Like a drunk driving scene, and a family violence scene. These scenes show people what happens all over the United States and around the world everyday. Like in the family violence scene, it presents a husband and wife fighting and then eventually the fighting escalates to where the husband pulls out a gun and shoots his wife. That is what happens to people everyday, maybe not in every case where it ends in death, but where husband and wife fight. It just makes the wrong visible, where in some cases its not evident. Also, the people at Hell House do not ever say, “You are gunna go to Hell.” or “If you don’t believe me you are going to Hell.” No, Hell House at the end of the event takes the people into a room and basically tells them that what they saw were real life events that happen to people and most of what happened was the result of sin, and people doing wrong. They also provide those people with an opportunity to commit to Christ. They in no way force people to commit to Christ. If people say that they don’t want to commit to a relationship with Christ, they let them go with out harping them to commit.
Does Hell House have scary elements to it? Yes, it does part of those scary elements is just reality. You can’t sit there and say for instance, if you just watched one of your parents beat up the other, or even shoot the other, you can’t sit there and say that you wouldn’t be scared. Its reality.
Hell House’s whole purpose was designed around showing people who may not know, what sin is, what sin is. It just presents real life situations, and the sin and wrong choices that people make and the consequences Christians believe that follows, like Hell. Which is Biblical.
Some scenes do need work. The people that put on Hell House are not perfect and no one is. Some scenes do look cheesy or stupid or just plain wrong in facts sometimes. It happens. The main point I want to get across here is that Hell House is not designed to scare people into becoming a Christian. Some people do get scared and make an emotional decision. However, that is not what Hell House is about, or has ever been about.
And, a small side note for the people on here who say they are Christians and are ashamed of this, you are in a small tiny group of Christians, compared to the whole. Every year, churches from all across the United States come to see Hell House, they bring their youth groups, or sometimes their entire church, and most of the time the feedback is something like “It was really good, it presented how life is and its not Christian coated or religious mumbo-jumbo.” So if you don’t like it, I understand that, and we live in a free country and you have your right to your opinion.
I just want to clear these issues up some. Not everyone likes Hell House and the people there know that and know that they will not please everyone. On behalf of Hell House, I apologize if you have been offended by Hell House or it’s ministry.
Oh and by the way the Hell House video was done a long long time ago back in the 1990s sometime, Hell House has improved a lot since then.

Most people’s problem in the world today is the fear of the unknown. The people who think they know it all are really the scared ones. When you try to discount what 6 billion other people believe, you really show how weak minded and lost you really are. Everything has a balance in life. It’s called free will. People base their whole life on one bad event or live believing only they are right because God didn’t answer their prayer in a time of great need. Wake up America. People wonder why America is going to hell in a hand basket. It’s because we are greedy, know it all, captain of our own fate, godless beings. I pity all of you people that have no God to call your own or have never felt the power of the universe in your heart. I have had things happen in my life that shouldn’t have happened-good and bad! My daughter’s mother ran off with my daughter last year to colorado. I had to hire a lawyer to handle the out of state case. Her deposit was $5,000 to get started. I didn’t have the 5 grand, but God give’s you what your heart desires most(it’s in the bible). What I wanted most was to see my daughter. I am not perfect, and I sin constantly, but what I do in this life comes around to me 10 fold. So, I went to the casino for my birthday with my grandpa several months later to take my mind off my daughter situation. I spent a $100 dollars,hit a 9 out of 9 with a powerball on keno, and guess how much I won? $5,000 dollars. sincerely-karma

I’m a youth leader and am thinking about taking my youth to hell house. They know Christ as their Lord and savior so Im not doing it to scare them to him, I just want them to see first hand what could happen. I want them to want to draw close to him everyday and if seeing this helps then its worth it to me. yes, there’s more to scaring kids to get them to Jesus but if that gets them even an inch closer than isnt it worth it?

Sympathetic non-christian here. People need to be aware that Hell House is a controversial production even within the walls of Trinity. Not everyone approves of it, and not everyone who does it is sure of whether they are doing the right thing. And yes, this is from an “inside source”.
What’s even more interesting to me is the hypocritical nature of people who take offense to a church that tries to scare people into heaven. Parents tell their child not to touch the stove because it will burn them, or not to play by the street or else they will get run over, or not to talk to strangers because they might kidnap them. Schools tell kids to not have sex or to practice safe sex or else they could get pregnant or get an STD. Our entire world is operated on the evangelism of fear, but then we get offended when someone tries to scare us into believing something we don’t agree with.
I don’t like Hell House. I don’t agree with them at all. I won’t ever go to it, even though I live 10 minutes away from where they put it on every year. But I also don’t have a problem with it. Nobody is shoving their religion down anybody’s throat. Trinity holds the production ON THEIR CAMPUS and people go to them. And I’m sure those people are probably allowed to leave whenever they want.
What I do know is that Trinity has done so much good for my community. A neighbor of mine attends there and they paid her rent one month when she lost her job, no strings attached. They didn’t ask her to prove she was a Christian or tell her they couldn’t help her because she had only been attending for 2 months at the time or anything like that. She asked them for help and they helped her. They’ve supposedly helped to buy a mansion for homeless pregnant women nearby. They stock food pantries.
But yeah, because of this Hell House thing, Trinity is destroying America. Get some perspective, people.

Amy take the kids ask if they want to go and take the ones who want to noone is pushing anyone they do it to show the truth our youth group went and it was so powerful we became closer we realized to open our arms because noone knows what anyone goes through on a daily basis. We go every year and have people get saved. It’s such an eye opening event. Even though some eople don’t think anythig can happen it can and it will be just a blink of an eye.
