Yesterday was a milestone for American Right-wing music enthusiasts everywhere. Popular radio show host Rusty Humphries released his album "Thank Allah I’m A Jihad Boy" which pokes fun at Islamic terrorists by using parody songs. These beauties include "Last Train to Kooksville", "Roll Over Appeasers", and many others.
What’s interesting about these songs is that they were inspired by actual interviews with Islamic terrorists. Humphries spoke with Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade and Jihad Jaraa, leader of the 2002 siege of Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity. He sprinkles several audio clips of the interviews in between songs, some of which are hilarious. For instance, the Brigade believes that former White House intern Monica Lewinsky was a Mossad implant. Good stuff indeed.

I’m all for criticism of Islam, and any other religion, when they breach the basic human rights, but just poking nose at them doesn’t make you a better man, it makes you a child. We had something like this in Norway a few months ago as you all prolly have heard about with the drawings of Mohammed, which were re-published (in Norway) in a die hard Christian fundamental newspaper as a pure provocation.
I’m all for the freedom of press/speech, but why use your freedom purely to make fun of “the other side� It only makes it harder for anybody who wants do inform and educate to get through the immense wall of stupidity and ignorance built by the religious fanatics on all continents.

sammie is just full of fear. His (I assume male because of the violence in the comment) beloved religion is under serious threat by science, humanism, and other modern knowledge. His empty threats are a fight-or-flight reaction. He fears the criticism of his/her religion because, deep down, he knows that his religion cannot withstand the criticism. Why else would he threaten to silence critics in the most extreme and violent method available to him? If his religion were true and if his faith were actually strong, he would not fear any criticism. His beliefs would stand on their own. All he would have to do is point to his religion and it would speak truth for itself. The fact he doesn’t react this way suggests that either his faith is not true and he knows it, or that his faith is weak and he’s too afraid to admit it.
How do I know it’s an empty threat? It’s a long and expensive flight from Amsterdam. If he were serious I’m sure he’d find infidels closer to home to murder.

What’s the harm in making fun of a religion? It doesn’t actually hurt people, it just pisses off some people who don’t have any sense of humor. So Jihadi’s are willing to inflict physical harm on thinking and feeling people simply because they feel that their religion (which is an unthinking and unfeeling concept) has been harmed? Where’s the balance? Where’s the perspective? There isn’t any because the Jihadi’s reason has been subverted by their mythology. They deserve ridicule.

What we have here are two contradictory statements (and a failure to communicate, hee hee). So where are the outcries from the “peaceful” muslims about the “haters” who want to kill anyone who isn’t a) a muslim of their branch, b) willing to be bullied into silence when demonstrating the failings of islam, and c) afraid of this type of insanity? I also note that the claim is that Islam is THE religion of peace. Really? There are lots of Christians, Buddhists, etc., who preach peace and love (and, even though these aren’t my belief systems, I welcome anyone who actually *practices* a doctrine of peace and love). This is exactly the kind of double standard rhetoric which my friend Kasem (a muslim) and John (a christian) decry and loathe. This is also why I am glad I’m in a country where my natural right to self-defense and self-expression has been enumerated in my country’s Constitution. So, “muslim” (as in the post name, not the religion as a whole), know that there is a groundswell of people in this world who won’t bow down to you and your threats. You are, of course, welcome to abandon your medeival thinking and join the rest of us in a modern, civilized society. You can even bring your religion with you, just ditch the whole “killing” thing. The concept of 72 virgins in Islam refers to an aspect of paradise. In a collection by Imam at-Tirmidhi in his “Sunan” (Volume IV, Chapters on “The Features of Heaven as described by the Messenger of Allah”, chapter 21: “About the Smallest Reward for the People of Heaven”, hadith 2687) and also quoted by Ibn Kathir in his Tafsir (Qur’anic Commentary) of Surah Qur’an 55:72, it is stated that:
“It was mentioned by Daraj Ibn Abi Hatim, that Abu al-Haytham ‘Adullah Ibn Wahb narrated from Abu Sa’id al-Khudhri, who heard the Prophet Muhammad PBUH saying, ‘The smallest reward for the people of Heaven is an abode where there are eighty thousand servants and seventy-two houri, over which stands a dome decorated with pearls, aquamarine and ruby, as wide as the distance from al-Jabiyyah to San’a.[63]
