Ah now this is a story that has DANGER written all over it. I can run with this story in a dozen different directions, most of which will get me hate mail :) But we are professional amateurs here so let us begin.
Ok, what do you call a person with no arms and no legs who is shaving? Nick. Well to be exact, his name is Nick Vujicic and he was born without arms and legs. Before you fire off the hate mails, you should really read the entire story. You’ll see what I mean. Now, while that would devastate the average human, it has only fueled Vujicic to better himself and countless others.
Confused yet? Allow me to explain. Nick Vujicic is a man of many trades. He is a motivational speaker, real estate investor, stock market investor and author. But most importantly, Nick is an evangelist who travels the world spreading the word of God. Now one would think that Nick would be upset with God, since he forgot to give him arms and legs. But Nick is a “the glass is half full” kind of guy. He often tells people “I stand before you today as a miracle of God.”
Now think about that for a minute. Is he really a miracle of God or just some guy that was dealt poor genes? Now whenever I see someone like this preaching the word of God, one explanation comes to mind. I think that people like Nick need to prove to others and themselves, that they are just as capable and in control of their life. The want to believe that there is a reason for their condition and they weren’t just screwed over by the man upstairs.
They say God works in mysterious way. But no matter how you slice it, Nick Vujicic is one fascinating person. He has accomplished more than many people under circumstances that would cripple most. Whether or not God has anything to do with it, you decide.

People can say what they want and bash him for believing what he does, but honestly, I’m 15 & after I heard him speak at school I became a christian as did many other people and he prevented me from commiting suicide and he’s helped me massively with self harm and depression.

It continues to astound me that there are always groups of people who want to oppose something… The purpose of this particular mindset, I can not be sure.

Does he provide perspective to people who need it?
Does he have the right to free speech?

The first law of thermodynamics, the law of entrophy, the law of conservation of energy are all violated, or suspended, for the Big Bang to have occurred. Add to that believing that living matter was created from non-living matter and that macroevolution has to have occurred, both of which have never been observed in nature or even recreated in labs. That is the evidence and reason that neither the Big Bang nor evolution ever occurred. Who in their right mind would believe that a tornado went through a forest and created a two story house? Big Bang theorists, of course. After all, that is way more likely to happen scientifically than the Big Bang to have created everything that you see. When I want to read fiction, I will return to this site and read the blogs and unscientific spewings of the “educated” atheists and agnostics. My college education and multiple degrees took me from agnostic to Christian. I had to believe in fewer miracles for God to be true than evolution and Big Bang theory, that’s for sure.

I have today personally been witness to this gentlemans evangelic claptrap at a Service at Metro Church in Brisbane under the guise that I was going to see and “inspirational motivational speaker”
Yes he has been through a lot and through the power of his faith has proved that you can overcome and succeed if you put your mind to it.
Throughout the whole service and his spouting all I saw was a bunch of rather strange people self indoctrinating themselves that their god loves them and they love him. Not once in the whole 3 1/2 hrs was anything realy said about the bible other than a half dozen lines from the bible taken totally out of context as is usual for these religious scare mongering faith pushers. With all that he has overcome not once did anything he said show that god has had a hand in assisting him, he could just as well focused his mind and will on Shiva, Allah, a bowl of jello or some made up deity. All I actaully “learned” is whether you put faith in yourself or some imaginary being, the end result is that with positive thinking and power of self you are able to do anything. God really has nothing to do with it. As far as converting me to love his god, he fell very short, sorry Nick, your version of Christianity scared me.
Nick is a man with conditions of live who, if without God, have no chance to survive. He not only survived but He is a man of success in many areas of human activities. His deep commitment with God is giving him unbelievable power to do almost anything he wants to do. I appreciate very much his strong willing to share his rich personality with others. I strongly believe that Nick witnessing God presence in his live is working hard for all human beings, for us believers in God and for the others, who maybe first time in their life could experience close touch with eternal values.
