Nick, born without limbs are able to stand up and glorify God despite his conditions. He called that miracle of God, and indeed it is.. It's a miracle that he is able to do a lot bigger things that some of us who have everything but yet blaming God for everything.

Who are we to judge God? Some of us don't even want to believe that there is God. Some say God is the root of evil? Come on man, who are we to judge? Are you bigger than God? How much did you score for your science subjects in school? Do you understand all the truth in this world? With our tiny and limited brain, we dare to say that we are right or the victims and God is wrong? Or we dare to say that God does not exist and we exist simply because to the big bang coincidence.. How coincidental indeed!

The truth will remain the truth whether we believe it or not. And if heaven and hell is true, we will end up in one of these places depending on what you choose to believe. Yup, religion is a crap, but relationship with God is for real. What Jesus did on the cross is real no matter what you say or think, it doesn't change the truth. John 3:16 may be too ridiculously good to be true, but who can change that? Like dogs barking to the moon, can we change the fact and laws God had set? Isn't He merciful enough that He had given us the second chance, at such a cost?

Nick, with all his limitations had seen the truth and overcome them. He raised up above all his circumstances because he has Jesus. And surely he lives a life with more peace, joy and more victorious than most of us who choose to be ungrateful, complaining, unbelieving and self pity here..

Religous belief is definitively a lack of thinking. Therein lies your problem.

Korgan,

I don't understand why people are so intolerant. I am a Christian and I am not the least bit threatened by others believing in other gods, or nothing at all. They are free to believe as they wish.

I can't think of a single reason why it matters how long the Earth has been around. The scientists believe that it has existed for approximately 4.5 billion years. In the 1960s, they believed it was about 3 billion years. That just tells me that the scientists don't really know, either. They are just guessing. In 50 years, the Earth might be 7 billion years of age, who cares?

What do you believe happens when someone passes away? The reason I ask is because someone close to me sounds much like you, and I'm hoping to have a better understanding of their/your beliefs. When I ask questions, I just receive insults.

Anyway, can't other "thinking" people believe differently than you and still be "thinking" people?

lol Nick is a carry on... he must really save a lot on airfare...

Imagine, the HOPE that Nick preaches to people(disadvantage according to Korgan) who really need this HOPE that only Jesus Christ can give. Who will hear this if this there is no preacher?
God has a preacher and he is Nick. Man shall live by every word of God for we were once disadvantage but have a relationship with Jesus Christ-ALONE
Religion is ridiculous... i do agree but there is something you fail to understand concerning the HOPE Nick has and anyone who believes on the ONE that gives this HOPE... "For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation"

Why should he be born in such a disadvantaged and pitiable state?
I don't see any of this in his life of Nick. I see the opposite of such a question.
But I do see the hope you offer to anyone that is born unlike you.
Korgan, salvation is near and it is not about a religion because if you think that religion can save - you are wrong. Salvation is near... in a relationship with Jesus Christ. He is "The ONE TRUE GOD"

Mira, in post 315, you've perhaps reached the height of absurdity:

To reiterate a theme that has come up here often lately, your god is supposedly omnipotent and kind. So why didn't it make Nick with both limbs and popularity? Why should he be born in such a disadvantaged and pitiable state? As someone in a prior post said, the better answer for why Nick was born in his limbless state was "bad luck", not "creation by a benevolent god".

I won't be trading in my limbs for sentiments in any volume, any time soon.

Religion is ridiculous.
