I am a scientist, dogma is the antithesis of my world-view. I have never bullied nor intimidated anyone in my entire life. I don’t see how a demand for producing evidence is in any way dogmatic, bullying, or intimidating. This statement also shows how those who cannot support their arguments stoop to name-calling and gross over-generalizations; we didn’t cause the Terror War, we responded to attacks upon ourselves and our allies. Sorry if you don’t get that; I have always been in favor of the strong protecting and freeing the weak. If you feel that to be in error, I suggest you go to Iran and try to live as a Christian there. You then go on to repeat your unfounded statements about the “international satanic conspiracy.” Repeating things again and again was a trick Hitler was fond of; against the unwary they have a cumulative effect of creating belief. Doesn’t work on me.

He really means it, and has stated as such during many over-priced lectures he gives to fleece the gullible. And, by the way, that isn’t a theory in a scientific sense, it isn’t really even a hyopothesis. It is pure speculation.
“I believe in Jesus, Angels, Miracles, Healing and World Peace.” – good for you. I don’t buy into the first three (okay, Jesus did indeed exist, but as an individual more divine than anyone else, no). The last two; sure. But healing is done by medical doctors and psychologists; world peace is only achievable by strength against tyranny. Benjamin Franklin: “If you want peace, you must prepare for war.”
You then go on to claim that the money-grubbing televangelists are Satanists. This implies, along with your other statements, that Buddhists, Moslems, and anyone not of your particular faith are Satanists. Along with the Roman Catholic Church, the original branch of Christianity, out of which the Protestant Reformation came (all evangelicals are protestants of one kind or another). I call balderdash on that notion. Where is your independently-documented evidence of such? I’ve many friends who are Catholic, Protestant, Muslim, and Buddhist. Won’t they be surprised to find they are actually Satanists?

If that offends you, well I am truly sorry, but that’s the way it is. And, again, I point out this is a religious discussion site, not a site to air 9/11 conspiracy theories. If I wanted to do that, I’d be on those sites.

I’m well aware of Alex Jones. He is a fraud, like David Icke. I don’t “have problems” with what you believe in, I reject it categorically. Alex Jones is a purveyor of “the US government attacked the US on 9/11,” which is totally false. National Geographic ran an excellent program refuting the “9/11 conspiracy,” and I have spoken with friends in the military who saw the plane crash into the pentagon; I have also spoken with engineers who have demonstrated the fact that two planes loaded with fuel brought down WTC 1, 2, and 7. But I notice you have yet to present any verifiable facts about interdimensional lizard aliens who can shape shift. That is required before I will accept such a thing, which is a central tenent of your “international satanist conspiracy.” Extraordinary claims require extraordinay proof. Now, back to the article this thread is supposed to be about: there is verifiable proof that televangelists are lying, cheating money-grubbers. Even if Marjoe simply wanted more attention and money, he exposed an ongoing sham purported to be “old time religion.” Care to comment on that, since this isn’t a “conspiracy” web site?

I never said that, snurp, nor did I intend for that to be the gist of that argument. I was simply noting where the Nazi ideology got some ideas. It wasn’t the first time, nor the last, unfortunately, that someone’s ideas were taken piecemeal and used to create a racist and asinine argument. Take for example Darwinism, which was perverted by some into Social Darwinsim, which in turn found adherents in the Nazi smorgasboard of ill-conceived pseudo-intellectual mysticism. If I may quote from the “Illuminatus Trilogy”: “I personally like the philosophies of Jesus Christ, and do not hold him personally responsible for the religions foisted upon him after his death.” Always liked that quote . . . :)

I would just like to note that, whatever Nietzsche’s relation to those who brought about 20th Century fascism may be, it would be a mistake to claim that Nietzsche in any way would have supported such a thing, and the sprouts of such an event emerged before any recognition of Nietzsche and grew just fine without him for a long while. Just my nitpicking, as it’s something I spend time on.

Kathy, again, I’m sorry, but I checked out the webistes of these people, and I found no evidence. As for “documentaries,” Sun Classic pictures produced a good number of pseudo-documentaries, such as “In Search of Historic Jesus,” “The Bermuda Triangle,” and — my personal favorite in the chuckle area — “Hangar 18,” which was described as “The true story, based on the bestselling novel.” My point is that “documentaries” produced by people who have articles about interdimensional aliens and FEMA concentration camps (with absolutely zero shreds of evidence to back up such claims) on their websites . . . ones *you* provided, by the way . . . have no credibility whatsoever. Indeed, they score a 10 on my BS-O-Meter.

Now, as to the US being an “imperialist” nation. Sure, the US did indeed claim territory from its war against the Spanish Empire in 1898. Since then, the US has only taken enough land in foreign countries to bury our dead soldiers and maintain bases in allied countries. When Saudi Arabia wanted us to abandon our bases there, we did. If the US was indeed attempting to build an Empire, we would never have rebuilt Germany and Japan; they would simply be “protectorates,” or whatever euphemism is used to mean “suborned peoples.” The big guy on the block, the rich kid on the hill, always gets slammed whatever he does, good or bad. So be it. But in spite of our problems — and we have scads of them — we try to act in a noble and generous manner, in spite of what George Carlin and Sean Penn may say.
I am sorry you live in a world of such delusions. But I will share with you the guiding quote of my life, by the Dean of Science Fiction, Robert Anson Heinlein, in the hopes that you might yet see the light:

Shun wishful thinking, ignore divine revelation, forget ‘what the stars foretell,’ ignore opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable ‘verdict of history’ — what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? Try this: provide proof of interdimensional aliens. It was on one of the sites you provided. If you can show me that there are interdimensional aliens (and not by saying, well Icke *says* there are, or citing the hoax show that was on TV with badly faked footage of an autopsy, or claims without backing from the UFO community), then I’ll consider revisiting the whole “illuminati” hoax. Until then, it was just a good novel by Robert Anton Wilson and Robert Shea, and nothing more.
As a final note, I would find it gratifying if there were “no rich evangelists” in Britain. It would mean the Brits have sense, in that regard at least, than we do. But I suspect you’ve given a lot to some of them over the years, which — in conjuction with your spurious earlier claims — makes me doubt that the ones running the show are all that poor.
