Valentine’s Day has evolved in to what is essentially a nonreligious over-commercialized dating bonanza. It truly is a harmless day in which couples set aside some time to spend with one-another. At least that’s what I thought.
Apparently, someone forgot to inform the Muslims in Kashmir about this though. To them, Valentine’s Day is a western jihad of sorts that was launched in order to corrupt Islamic values the world over.
Two Islamic groups have taken it upon themselves to clean things up and restore civility and sound morals. The Forum Against Social Evil has joined forces with the female-only group known as Dukhtaran-e-Millat (Daughters of the Nation). Together they burned Valentine’s Day cards in the streets and showered blows on unsuspecting couples in restaurants.
But there’s a happy ending of sorts. These groups have been trying to oppress the locals for years and it appears to have had little affect. Stores continue to advertise Valentine’s Day and couples continue to date openly in parks, restaurants, and cafes.

I remember something like that in the news last year about Saudi Arabia, so I think it’s a widespread thing and not just about muslims in Kashmir.
Muah HAHAHA! Muslisms, you will learn about LOVE! We will corrupt you with what is natural! Then, perhaps you can work on compassion, tolerance and even… understanding! GASP
Really, do muslims still believe in and get arranged marriages to people they don’t know, barely heard of, and don’t love?
Islam is so oppressive… Why is Islam always in the news for trying to forcibly impose its values on other people? It’s disgusting.

I may have mentioned this already,
A week ago, a hardcore Christian/Jehova’s witness buddy of mine finally caved in to the carnal sin that is sex. It took a barrage of uber-hot women to finally get him to give in to his desire.
Anyways, this got me thinking; us non-beleivers have the best arsenal in the world, to convert the suffering to happy, well adjusted people; SEX! Not only that, but real love, confidence and self esteem as well!
Because theirs is a fight for morality, we should be fighting back with the the most immoral, sleazy and sluttiest weapons at our disposal. Never before have I felt so vindicated! Remember those jackasses who’d flirt or put out in High School? (Not with me, of course) They were fighting the good fight! In fact, I think the whole reason women exist (from a moral sense) is to keep men from taking the whole religion/cult stuff too far. Think aboot it.

Shaze, that is another thing that both amuses me and annoys me at the same time about organized religion (especially Islam). How the vilify sex and carnal urges. We are one of the few creatures on the earth that enjoy sex for the pure pleasure of it and not just reproduction and I think it is a crime to not revel in it. The female body is the most wonderful thing in existence and should be worshiped, not covered! Show me the boobies!

Muslims don’t seem to have a problem with men having carnal urges. If they did, they wouldn’t promise them all those virgins in the afterlife. It’s unmarried women not being locked away to preserve their virginity that upsets strict Muslims. And naturally they express their disapproval by burning things, yelling and shaking their fists for the cameras, and committing acts of violence.

I am a christian sex is not evil when you are married it is a gift from god. The reason: i’ll save that for another time i’m getting sleepy. Oh and christians werent the ones who couldn’t get any.Although i am not proud of it before i was saved as a so called jock i didn’t have to search if i wanted it. I havent done it since i was saved and i’m still in my teens. Yes i have found somthing greater than sex guys. As for those chicks sounded like they couldn’t find a date and got mad

i am muslim and not an idiot. i think its crazy how some people quickly jump to burn stuff (ie pic above), but then again its crazy how quickly some people jump to stereotype (ie comments above).
but what a group of people does is not indicative of what should be done in the name of that religion, culture, etc. fanatical people are just that, fanatical. these people would be extreme in their views regardless of what they follow. (ie: whether you burn valentines cards because you think its a pagan holiday, or if you burn down a church because they dont agree with your views of pro-choice…same crazy nutjobs in different formats!)
chances are that the commentor, who bashed Islam as being an intolerant and disgusting religion, is a white male. but i will not go so far as call all white men bigots, because i am not an idiot.
so i guess this shows that you can have no religion and still be an idiot, too.
