Yes, the earth has gone through warming periods, but that a red herring. What is concerning is how fast the change is taking place. It is the rapid pace of warming that will cause us problems. Slower warming and the earth’s ecosystem can adjust. Truth be told though, the earth will adjust to the change. It is just us humans that might have a problem.

@speedjunkie: Most of them figure the war in the middle east will bring it whether they burn more fuel or not. Apparently Islam has replaced the USSR in the role of the army of Gog and Magog. But they still buy SUV’s just in case the war doesn’t move fast enough… “Praise be to Hummer, and hallowed be thy fuel efficiency. Amen.”

Ive been saying this for a long time, that many christians just seem to feel like none of this is a problem (due to god making the earth brand new again someday)

I mean if jesus is coming back, why worry about it, right?

This attitude coupled with the “sin today forgiven tomorrow” attitude of christianity is one of the main reasons i avoid these people like the plauge.

Whats next, burn more fuel etc..to hasten the coming of the “lord”. Yep, you bet.

These people are insane, and really, really dumb.
