Oh praise be to Jesus for the end of Wikipedia near. Gone are the days of anti-American rhetoric and liberal bias. Say hasta la vista to un-American spelling and CE (Common Era). Say hello to BC (Before Christ) damnit and give Jesus the props that he earned on that cross fair and square.
Conservapedia is here and promises to educate that masses, especially home schooled kids, and shed light on what Wikipedia has been covering up all these years. Learn the real truth about evolution and Intelligent Design. Think we came from monkeys? Think again! Do you still believe that the Earth actually revolves around the Sun? Wrong again! Think about it. And yes, the Earth is flat!
Thank God for Conservapedia and thanks to Jani for the story!

As a genetic biology major, I just wanted to say that their post about evolution made me want to vomit.
That is all =)

Facts? HA!
We here at Conservapedia don’t need your stupid “facts.” We have TRUTH!
The TRUTH about global warming!
The TRUTH about abortion!
The TRUTH about the facade of real conservative ideals like self-government and free action being paraded by demagogues as they try to control the opinions and freedom of the people!
Wait, did I sound biased there? Oh, looks like I’ll have to alter my Conservapedia article now to reflect the Communist I am…
Speaking of which, who wants to help me change articles in Conservapedia? Not that I’m a die-hard liberal (I tend to hate them too), but some things just deserve a knock in the head, if you will.

All right, I can’t figure out how to create an account on this thing. Anyone have any ideas? I’m itching to spread the truth, here.

For some really vomitous fun, look up Earth. It is new earth theory at its finest, and by finest I mean, “It’s in the Bible and therefore true you stupid scientists. Neener, neener.”

Jennifurret, as a thinking human being, it does the same to me.
my god, the conservapedia says “most every prediction by theorists about planetary formation has been wrong.†Then point to a footnote, which links to website, which has a quote from a book, from some guy quoting someone else….how that for sources…
for some “real good information” try hitting the random button a few times, and counting how many items have more then 3 sentences of info in it.

“Wikipedia is six times more liberal than the American public.”
*Laughing incredulously*
You think? Maybe? Because Americans are the only people who use Wikipedia, right? It’s not like any very left wing European/Scandinavian countries (and Canada!) use Wikipedia!
Of course, it’s not exactly difficult to be more liberal then the American public :)

When they said “six times more liberal…” they were using this man as the standard.
Sorry, I needed an excuse to get this article seen somewhere. It’s awesome beyond reckoning.
March 5th, 2007 at 5:50 pm
check the huge discussion on how you can’t possibly say “Six times more liberal” That’s like saying “Twice as shiny” or “Three point six times as fancy”
Also, It is impossible to create a new on their ‘open’ format. Add to that their most humorous page on “why wikipedia is biased” and you’ve got something which is vast approaching the uncyclopedia.
Also, does the site automatically block posts with to much HTML?

Nice, I love this stuff. It ignites a warm and fuzzy feeling deep in my soul and restores my faith in the stupidity of humankind. Let their voice be heard. Let them speak their piece. then the people of the world will judge what they say. they will judge what these people preach based on the merit of its ideas, its logic and its basis in fact.

I have to say I am in awe(aweful shock) at the who liberal bias diatribes. I mean what happened to the U.S. that was founded by a bunch of guys of the enlightenment who abhored the idea that god and country should be entwined? That you should be able to say and do what you feel? What’s wrong with the U.S. acting like a responsible country and not usings it’s awe(ful) power to just get what it wants?
One nation under god? If the founding fathers of the U.S. ever heard that, they would’ve strung the guy up who said it. Where did it all go astray?
As for conservapedia, well let them say what they wish. I only oppose them shoving that crap down the throats of ankle-biters who haven’t yet developed their crap filters and take it as fact.

Snurp: Man, I read about half that article you posted and was just amazed. That dude was a special kinda crazy. I agree with him on one point though, that this country is the greatest that has ever existed or currently exists, but I guess that is just about where our agreement ends.
Funny thing, people on both ends of the spectrum from hard core nutty conservatives to whack job liberals seem to think it is THEIR way that makes this country great. They are all wrong. It is the mixture of both ideologies that makes it great. Remove either from the equation and this country falls down hard.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eagle_Forum
The Eagle Forum is involved primarily in issues of the conservative agenda. Among a range of issues the organization is: pro-life, against international oversight from the UN or the International Criminal Court, it supports English only in schools, and supports a “full time homemaker†and the institution of marriage. [13] Eagle forum is also the creator of Conservapedia, a nascent wiki-based online encyclopedia founded in reaction to claimed liberal bias in Wikipedia as well as ‘anti-Christianity’ and ‘anti-Americanism’ biases in Wikipedia. [14]
It has also been active in the anti-vaccination particularly fighting mandatory vaccination requirements for school children. [15]

Because letting just ANYONE post on kinda defeats the whole purpose of it being true right?
March 6th, 2007 at 3:14 pm
vaccination is mandatory in the US?
over here you have the choise to be an idiot.
March 6th, 2007 at 4:02 pm
So, essentially you have to know someone with an administrative account to get an account. Sounds just as retarded as the rest of the setup.
What makes this extra funny is the concept that while “most Americans are conservative” most Wikipedia users are either moderate or liberal. Since Wikipedia users tend to be better educated on average, wouldn’t it be safe to say that the smartest people in America are either moderate or liberal?
March 6th, 2007 at 4:23 pm
well, gues that “conservatives don’t get us anywhere” is true. Also, what’s funny is that, appearently, wikipedia is only meant for Americans…
March 6th, 2007 at 6:53 pm
My favorite part is how Conservapedia criticizes gravity. It nonchalantly mentions that gravity is accepted by both “scientists and evolutionists”. It argues that the moon’s orbit around Earth expands by 3.8cm per year, “directly contradicting the theory that masses attract one another”. And it goes on to name God “the Prime Mover”. It really seems like that article was written as satire, but a quick glance at its history suggests otherwise.

“What makes this extra funny is the concept that while “most Americans are conservative†most Wikipedia users are either moderate or liberal. Since Wikipedia users tend to be better educated on average, wouldn’t it be safe to say that the smartest people in America are either moderate or liberal?”
Add to that the idea that colleges are bastions of liberal bias. It’s as though they’re saying that getting educated makes you a liberal…as opposed to conservatives, who are…I’ll point back to the link I posted earlier, and you get the point. I always found that funny. “Don’t be educated! Be conservative!”
And of course, I’ve heard often enough that college really doesn’t affect your political views that much, especially when compared to family and other youth influences. But I find the above to amusing to pass up.

First part is true, second is the effect of blantant moronicism. As is often the case with ‘these people’ is that they completely disregard all but one aspect. There is such a thing as centrifigal force.
But all the apples falling upward seem to support their theory…..
nope, it’s still Newton

Conservapedia on The Moon:
“5. Our solar system is one of the few that has only one sun. Only one sun and only one moon: this uniqueness may reflect the existence of only one God.”
Yes!
Conservapedia - where science takes a back seat.
March 14th, 2007 at 2:17 pm
That is well beyond putting science in the back seat. It is throwing it out the window along with a significant portion of the gray matter in one’s head.
