Hey everyone I thought I should check in and let you know I’m doing ok. I just got back from a week long camping trip on a nice quiet tiny island. During that time I did a lot of reflecting on things and basically just got some much needed time alone. I also read a fascinating book that I’d like to share with you all once I get some time.
I really appreciate all the emails from everyone and your words of encouragement. Next week I promise to start writing articles again… I think it would actually be good way for me to get my mind off of things.
Regards,
gasmonso

Welcome back!
great to see you were on vacation. Glad you’re ok. Good to see you back here again.
I feel a lot better knowing you’re ok. :D Don’t disappear. Lots of people around the world do care about you, so don’t vanish in thin air. ;)
Time to shift focus, methinks. Bickering over various idiotic incidents/examples has been done to death, gassy. It’s not going anywhere from there unless you start the site off in a new direction.
eMail me about it if you’re not sure what I mean; I’ve no desire to keep coming here unless you have the maturity to realize it’s not enough just to keep posting the same old crap. That’s why I’ve not been around the site much anymore.
With concern,
Me
Hey gas, glad to hear you’re about. Your fan club is still around ;)
And here we’d thought you’d been kidnapped by angry separatist forces from Andorra…at least, I thought so…good to see no one will have to invade Andorra (not that they’re not asking for it, of course…).
Glad to see you are still around Gas. I was starting to wonder.
Not me, you’re now officially short a mousekateer…
I dunno what’s making you flip out, but I suppose I should accept it. It’s just very hard to hear you talk of the things you have (family, success etc.), and then listen to you wax poetic about them. But I digress, I suppose you will choose a time to bestow upon your friends some answers…
I just found a great article from the Times Online; it’s extremely well written and thought provoking. Written by Irshad Manji, it’s titled:
Salman Rushdie is not the problem. Muslims are: In a battle between flaming fundamentalists and mute moderates, who do you think is going to win?
I’ve provided a link to the article.

Welcome back! I’m glad to hear you’re ok…I was beginning to get a little worried.
It’s good to hear from you, gasmonso. I’m looking forward to your off-beat approach to religion again. Let me know if I can help in any way.
Melissa we are not mute, we are talking, but nobody want to hear, the media is happy with Usama Bin Laden, and getting him in the news to scare the American people, meanwhile they ignore the Moderate people and they don’t even show them on the media, and even when they show him, you can see the arrogance in the way the host talk to them, and you find the accusation one after another, and they don’t even give the chance to say any thing.
I wouldn’t worry too much about the arrogance displayed by the typical christian when talking to a moderate muslim. Just rest safe in the knowledge that they are both wrong. :)
P.S. I know Muhammed is a believer, it was a joke. Sort of, I really do believe they are both wrong.
Sorry Michael, I didn’t get it yet, wrong about what?
Why, wrong about existence, of course. I believe there is no god. So muslims and christians are equally wrong in that respect. Understand?
I was talking about the way media treat Muslims and no Muslims, and I didn’t talk about God existence, that’s why I didn’t understand.
Thank you for answering me any way.
Hey Gas, Glad to hear you are OK :)
It would be really funny if that “fascinating book” he mentioned was some religious text, and by “share with you all” he meant he was switching this to some preachy religious site.
And by funny I mean sad.
Incredibly true: commenting is actually indeed a unique art. It is, also, a ultra powerful technique for users in a word wide web 2.0 world to contribute. Blog readers can react with a “thumbs up” comment to declare, in effect, “More posts like this.” The commenter, then, becomes the critic who shapes the writer’s next content. Some blogs are sorting comments: a column for in-blog comments just like this particular 1; another column for references and notes from Twitter plus additional social networking sites. Exactly what if the comments were sorted by good quality?
