Berlin art gallery has temporarily closed an exhibition where one of the posters made fun of Islam’s holiest shrine, the Kaaba in Mecca. The decision came after threats believed to be from Muslims. The exhibition was organized by the Danish group Surrend, which said it wanted to oppose religious extremism.

“All that is required for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing.” And, I would add, appease those who would threaten our right to free speech. It didn’t work for Neville Chamberlain, it won’t work now. You’d think people would understand that, but then that would require “thinking,” now wouldn’t it?

The poster just had the text “Dummer Stein” written above the Ka’ba. That’s pathetic and pretty harmless. If those guys had asked me I would have written “Gottes Vagina” at the top, and drawn a red arrow to the black stone with the silver framing. PS.: If Muslims read this, try to relax. After I’ve left Islam I haven’t become a Muslim hater. It all just has become quite a big joke to me, that’s all.
