It definitely was not an April Fools joke. I live about an hour and a half from Crossville, TN and was planning my own pilgrimage. Apparently, it was only allowed to stay on the courthouse lawn for a short time. By the time I made it there it was already gone. I can't remember the URL but I found the "creator's" site and encouraged him to take it on the road (or at least bring it to Knoxville).

This would be great. If the church of FSM gets recognition like this, I look forward to teaching Intelligent Pasta Design in biology.

asuming it's not an april fools joke...

I just hope this isn't April Foolery. That would be a shame.

Is this really a success for the FTM church? As far as I understand the idea of the movement, they would rather like authorities to reject their demands, so that other religious groups' demands would also be rejected. This case actually gives other groups legal ground to have their own statues in public.

It looks temporary with that wooden pedestal. Any plans to put up a bronze or stone one that will last for centuries? :)
