Looking at history, I find that culural and religious ideals are usually merely a pretense of extreme economic tension. How much do you think this is the case in the struggles we see in the middle-east? Would there be nearly as much conflict with Israel if the people of Palestine were economically stable?

I think this is a neat idea, though people are going to have to keep in mind that one person doesn’t speak for a whole group. Since I’d imagine (no stats to back this up) that Religious Freaks probably doesn’t have many conservative Muslim readers, there probably won’t be a lot of outrage and disagreement over Ask Muhammed. I’ll be interested to see what happens when you put up Ask a Christian or Ask an Atheist, though.

Hey, when are we going to get a just ask gasmonso? You’re not playing the role of impartial moderator on this site, as your postings have a fair bit of editorializing. So do you think it’s reasonable to create a forum (not a forum, you know what I mean) for your readers to grill you?
