Here is a permanent home for the 12 Muhammed caricatures that were printed in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten. If you don’t have a sense of humor then leave. They are just cartoons and nothing more. Comments will be enabled on here so please feel free to leave them. Keep it civil and please don’t storm my website with RPGs and machine guns. Oh, flag burning is unacceptable aswell. But feel free to boycot my site as that is a peaceful means of protest.

with all these crackerjacks making such a fuss over these cartoons can you imagine how much value they are placing on the original drawings,the artists or the publishers are going to make some good coin out of this.
I started out being provoked by the fact that someone provocativly printed the caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad, then I got provoked by people that got so provoked that they gave the provocateurs legitimacy to speak of freedom of speach. Then I got provoked by the fact that people I know wanted me to have an opinion on the matter. Probably because I didnt feel provoked enough to get out of my mind. And now I am provoked that this is something I do have an opinion on, and that my opinion is pissed on by anyone who claims to speak on behalf of the first amendment, freedom of speech, on the behalf of The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), Allah, and all the militant left, right, religious, christians, muslims, racists or any other people taking this insanely escalated conflict as an holy example of their civilization, their religious belief, their westerness or their middleeasterness. Feel free to sepak your mind, but unless you get overeager, don´t spit on me! God (Allah) is great, and if you belive, why take it in our own hands?
It’s highly ironic how all the general animosity which should be directed towards the radicalist bombers is now suddenly geared towards any general muslim. There are billions and billions of peace-loving and intelligent muslims around the world, who understand their religion and respect it and don’t turn into fanatics.
I’m a muslim. If I were to go out and burn a cross with an image of Jesus Christ on it, I’m sure that I would be the recipient of a significant amount of ‘civilized & democratic’ antagonisation. Everyone keeps on belittling muslims over the antics of radical or fanatical camps in different nations, thereby giving them more attention than is deserved. However, on the same note, in reference to the ‘burning cross’ analogy, just as any devout Christian (or Buddhist, or Jew, or Hindu) would feel offended by a religious symbol being despoiled, the same follows for Muslims.
I believe the situation got aggravated by the rather inconsiderate portrayal of Prophet Mohammad in particular. In a world where tolerance is to be preached (particularly religious), it may also be wise to practice some self-censorship and consideration for other people’s views/beliefs. Why instigate someone when you know what their weak points are??? Muslims have always been particularly critical over any image in general attempting to depict Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). The fact that such images are PUBLISHED in a WIDELY distrubuted print, without any regard for respect towards the views of the people whom it means most to, is honestly kind of crass! I totally advocate freedom of rights and speech, but words and imagery have strong impacts on the people they have the most significance to.
Given that a small part of the muslim world’s reaction might not be the ‘right’ response, it still indicates that there are people (intelligent, educated people) who took the images as an affront to their personal beliefs, and have voiced them instead of engaging in rash, uncivilized acts of random violence. I just think that it’s sad that CNN doesn’t have a few religious experts and historians explaining to the world why so many muslims are offended, instead of continuously broadcasting images of burning embassies and mindless riots! Ghandi once said “be the change you wish to see in the world”. all i see is the same continual cycle of instigation/violence/abuse which has been getting shoved in our faces for the past 4-5 years. If people focused more attention on all the good being done around the world instead of the conflicts, I think our children and the younger generation might have better role models to follow and less unimportant biases to get exposed to.
In parting, I’d like to leave behind a short anecdote, from a story by Isaac Asimov. The scene consists of a scientist trying to develop a computer program for an army general whereby all possible casualties/losses can be minimized and factored out. A fellow colleague asks the scientist why he’s helping the general even though he himself thinks the cause is quite pointless. The scientist agrees with his colleague, for this reason only: the only reason a machine cannot calculate such a costless war is because it lacks one major motivating factor common in all human conflict… a sense of self-rightousness!

So why don’t they say something about the bombings, the terrorist attacks, the touching of embassies? If just a quarter of them or 1/8, 1/16, or even 1/64 of them marched against violence (and self righteousness) it would say a lot. Where are all those peace-loving and intelligent muslims everyone keeps talking about? Why are they not being heard? Are they saying anything? If they are, how loudly? A billion people whispering peace would be great noise but I don’t hear it.
All that is required for evil to flourish is for good people to do nothing.

To be fair, no one and no idea should be beyond criticism or critical analysis.
Why should religious ideas be held to lower standard than the ideas of medicine, engineering or physics?
Why should those who believe in Christ and Mohammad have their ideas protected by not the believers in Zeus, The Easter Bunny, or a flat earth? The answer is they shouldn’t. The logical inconstancies, errors in fact, and all round irrationality of any belief should be up for discussion.

First they are given shelter in a non muslim country. Then they expect that that country adopts their ways and religion which is a bit too much.

i am not a cristian nor a jewish nor a muslim, but i believe the god in my own way. i think the mistake is unrespectness of those sides which starts with the caricatures.. nobody try to understand each other and go on abusing. so, go on. what will happen in the result? many of you mentioned from a war, so those of you are the people who are unregenerate and whose heads’ have a lack of something.. and i am sure that this site will gain a lot of many putting these nonsense caricatures (i think they were not funny) planning that many people will enter to see them.. however, there has to be respect for people’s believe which is unrelated with freedom..

Some of those caricatures are indeed provocative, and may foment hatred and intolerance against muslims. But others are perfectly correct.
But I ask: what have the gouvernements of EU and USA done in the last decades, specialy since 11/09? They have been fomenting the hatred against the peoples of the arab countries in the most hideous and disgusting ways. Simply because history put those people over a land where there is a black oil, and so they need to be conquered, so simple as that. Can you imagine a greater immoral and inhuman reason? And it has nothing to do with religion.
This present uprising of the islam has very little to do with the fact that some of those caricatures are indecent. It has all to do with the fact that the fanatics of that religion simply do not like portraits of a certain man.
Do the hundreds million people who everyday use condoms anyway offend the religion of those fanatics of Vatican?
Why should a portrait offend those fanatics of the other religion?
I would thank God (if he existed) that I am not religious…

Don’t believe everything you see on the news. Islam is a religion of peace. But like most of the religions it is frequantly abused and is used to control ignorant people to some others purposes. Most of those violent protests and attacks on the embassies were provoked and started by terrorist groups. Please take a few steps back and try to see the bigger picture.
