Here is a permanent home for the 12 Muhammed caricatures that were printed in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten. If you don’t have a sense of humor then leave. They are just cartoons and nothing more. Comments will be enabled on here so please feel free to leave them. Keep it civil and please don’t storm my website with RPGs and machine guns. Oh, flag burning is unacceptable aswell. But feel free to boycot my site as that is a peaceful means of protest.

Shari #133 is right on the Money!!! The Muslim reaction to these cartoons is absolutely disgusting and only degrades the Muslim Religion in the eyes of the civilized world. No women rights, no religous tolerence, or any tolerence for anything not Muslim, no freedom of thought, when upset – burn, threaten & kill. Remember that Islam is a relatively new religion compared to the other religions of the world. Why do the new guys on the block only have contempt for all the other older and more peaceful religions? Where are all the supposedly peaceful Muslims? Shouldn’t they be condeming all these violent demonstrations by all those so-called peace loving Muslims. All this rioting, burning and killing has done is create a bigger divide between civilized men and the barbarian Muslims!

As I read through the responses from the Muslim community my reaction to the majority of the “I’ll fuck you mother†and the predictable @#$^% swear words I was left with a feeling that these Muslims are really as dumb as a clump of Camel shit.
On the other hand the Muslims who called for a peaceful approach caused me to emphasize with their feelings and I found myself looking at the cartoons from a completely different perspective. I conclude that if the Muslims want to create respect and tolerance for their beliefs they will get a lot more done with the velvet glove approach than going out bombing and killing people.

To Arm #655 – I can appreciate what you are trying to say and your english is fine. I think I understood everything you were saying. Now we get to the real heart of the issue. You admit that it is not just about some silly cartoons in a Danish newspaper. It’s really about politics and political power.
However, the Middle Eastern countries have been promoting conspiracy theories like yours, for years. My wife is Lebanese and she is not Christian. She tells me all of the ridiculous conspiracy stories that get spread throughout the Arab world.
First, I can confidently tell you that the US had nothing to do with these cartoons. My wife has also told me about the belief, that not a single Jew was killed during the 9/11 attacks on the World Trade Center in New york. She has told me of the common belief, that the US was actually involved in the attacks. That Bush did it, so he could invade Iraq.
I’ll be the first to tell you, that Bush isn’t the smartest President we have ever had. However, for him to have planned these attacks and no one to have known about them, would have taken a level of genius, that simply isn’t there.
Now let’s discuss the real issue that bother Muslims ….it’s Israel! Does the US support Israel blindly? Yes. Is that the right thing to do? Probably not, but what do you want us to do? We have no other real ally in the Middle East. The same blind support issue, goes for Arab countries too. Most Arabs blindly support the Palestinians. Which is also wrong.
The US is a powerful country and sometimes it abuses its power, but that doesn’t mean you can demonize us everytime some “western” country offends you. We don’t have that much power.
One last thing -
I want every Muslim to go to Google images and look up the phrase “Piss Christ”, by Andres Serrano.
The image you are looking at, is a very famous photo, from the late 1980′s and is a picture of Christ floating in a bowl of the artist’s urine.
Now, look for any violence attached to the protests that followed. No art museums were destroyed for displaying this photo. No one was killed in the protests that followed.
People got angry about it and voiced their displeasure, but no one DIED over it!!
No governments or main stream religious leaders, called for the death of the artist. That photo is far more offensive to Christians, than some silly cartoons of your prophet. Yet, dozens have died during the Muslims violent protests, Embassy’s have been destroyed, attacks against the US have been taking place, for what? What is there to be gained from this?
There is only one good answer. That is to further empower the Muslim religious leaders and politicians. That’s it folks, they are using you to increase their power over you. Think about it…

The whoe “issue” is taking another shape. It is not the cartoons that have caused the most damage to muslims but the violent acts that are taking place.
A spiritual leader in Iran in now asking muslims not to continue with violence. this is very sensible.
Please do not get me wrong. I am also hurt by offencive cartoons about the Christian faith but the days of the inquisition are long gone.
Using violence to defend the faith is worse than being an atheist. This is my opinion “lump it or dump it” We still remain friends.

Thanks, you’re so right. It is very hard to respect someone, who won’t behave in a civilized and reasonable manner.
How can we have a productive discussion about this, when violence is being spread everywhere? It’s impossible, so the Muslim’s simply get discounted and everyone says their crazy. If they would voice their concerns in a logical and sensible manner, everyone would listen and work with them on what they find offensive.
However, let’s face the reality. This has been going on for way too long, to just be about some cartoons. It’s really about politics.
When are the Muslim countires going to learn, that their brand of terror-politics will never be received in the west. Weak countries like Spain might bow to the pressure but most will not.

The entire issue is ignorant on both sides. Why would someone go out of their way to instigate someone’s religion? Insulting someone’s beliefs benefits no one. But reacting as if your beliefs are the only ones that matter is immature and self centered. I am not muslim, but I am pretty sure that Islam states that you should not kill anyone and that if someone is a non believer than you should tolerate them, not go out and kill them. All theological religions are similar when it comes to who you can and can’t kill. It is politicians and others that have personal agendas that instigate violence to reach their own goals. To think that Islam is the only religion that has ever harmed anyone is not only shortsited, but ignorant.
Bottom line is that if anyone ever tells you to harm someone because Allah or God said to, they are probably lying to you. They do it because no one in their right mind would go blow themselves up because some other man told him to do it. Tell them that Allah or God wants them to and they will be rewarded in the afterlife and many will jump on it. Especially if they live in an oppressive society. Don’t let them even look at a woman’s feet, but promise 40 virgins? I would probably consider it. These leaders prey on false hope and lies to fuel their cause. Common sense tells you that Allah isn’t a pimp, but people buy it because they want to. And of course the only person that can disprove your lies is a dead man and last time I looked they don’t talk.
Man’s need for self fullfillment is fine, but when it becomes all consuming and destructive than it is pure evil, be it the crusades of the past or terrorism of today. Leave religion out of it, if you want to blow something up or kill someone, tell everyone the truth, you do it because you want to, not because God or Allah told you to. Putting their names on it doesn’t make it any less wrong.

When we in the west see muslims on TV, they are usually standing behind hostages with a knife to their throath, quoting the koran and calling upon the prophet. The muslims say their religion is peacefull….why then is there no demonstrations in the streets when westeners are taking hostages and killed by radical muslims?
OK, now I am really into it. Here are some more of my thoughts.
The biggest problems between Islam and Christianity or others isn’t religion, I mean they are so similar, basically like Religion v.1 and Religion v.1.2, that there shouldn’t be any more hatred than between different sects of one religion. It is what it being taught that is the problem.
Look at Iraq just a few years ago. Not exactly a wealthy nation per capita, but more than enough resources in oil alone to have a much higher standard of living across the board. Saddam sure as hell wasn’t living paycheck to paycheck, he was the one keeping the money, oppressing everyone and should have been the focus of the hatred. But what all these leaders have done is deflect that hatred towards the west, blame it on the infedels. And it isn’t just Saddam, all those nations have benefitted from funding terrorism in order to keep the attention deflected. Oppress the people, blame it on someone else and you live in a palace. Keep the two forces that could bring you down preoccupied with eachother.
And we aren’t innocent, dealing with one corrupt person is easier than dealing with a legit and powerful nation. Our past decisions to take the easy route haven’t helped the situation over there or our reputations. And it isn’t just the US, look at how Europe dealt with the Jewish issue after WWII, just send them into the middle of a hate zone on land that was taken (legitimately) in a war. Rather than deal with it correctly, just send them somewhere else. And of all places to do it, the most hottly contested piece of real estate in history. Brilliant. To not realize that this would come back and bite us all in the ass just shows you how stupid people really can be.
Christianity has evolved, rightly or wrongly, but it has become more tolerant of other beliefs because it is in our best interest as a society to get along with others. Our goals have changed from living for God but into personal goals and possessions. Islam isn’t interested in comforts or change, they are more closely rooted to religion as the foundation of their life. I respect that a lot. But it makes a lot of these people a lot easier to influence into doing the same idiotic things that Christianity was able to do centuries ago. So while they may be better followers than many of Christianity today, they are more susceptible to being misled into evil acts.
It doesn’t make any of us better than anyone else. Until we all realize that there are always going to be problems. Beliefs should be tolerated, actions of hate should not, whether it be to kill someone or to belittle someone.
