Here is a permanent home for the 12 Muhammed caricatures that were printed in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten. If you don’t have a sense of humor then leave. They are just cartoons and nothing more. Comments will be enabled on here so please feel free to leave them. Keep it civil and please don’t storm my website with RPGs and machine guns. Oh, flag burning is unacceptable aswell. But feel free to boycot my site as that is a peaceful means of protest.

Muslim woman,
You seem to have missed infidel’s point, and the subject of posts 3493 and 3492.
As far as what a “real muslim” is, does the Koran specify that, or not? And if not, where is appropriate behavior for a real muslim defined? The Koran clearly prescribes violence, as has already been presented, and is a pretty obvious basis for terrorism. Therefore, one would conclude that the violent muslims referred to as “radicals” are the real muslims, and that the so-called moderates are simply not being true to their professed religion.
Religion is ridiculous.

Sorry, I’ve probably used a wrong word (Bush) at the end of my following writing. I didn’t mean “Bush government’s role” but the USA governments’s role in the cold war time period (1945-1990) about financing the islamic terrorism. Here is another article:

infidel - But you’ve already used the word “radical islamists” at the beginning of your writing and you’re still asking “tell us how they’re not real muslims” at the end. Of course they’re not real muslims but radical ones. And this is not islam but “sharia”! 99% of Turks are muslims and as Turkey is not directed with sharia, such things can’t happen here.
rucker and the other friends - Sorry for I’m always repeating this but I’ll say it again now: The main misunderstanding is that you often confuse “islam” with “sharia”. But I know you think that the real islam already means sharia and real muslims are already radical ones. Then can you say what we are if they’re real muslims? Are we “light muslims” here, something like “light cigarettes”? The point I always want to highlight is: In fact the real muslims are us and the real islam is ours. So when christians, jews and mostly infidels get angry with radical muslims or islamic terrorists, they begin to mock at islamic values but this hurts moderate muslims rather than radical ones. I mean you can’t hit the target in fact but bother moderate muslims instead of this. Is this really what you want to do? And such things cause more hatred among societies. “Public anger at the recent stoning of a 13-year-old girl in Somalia shows the growing resentment towards radical Islamists who have gained control of much of the south and centre of the country.

Asha Ibrahim Dhuhulow was stoned to death for adultery in the southern port city of Kismayo, which was taken control by al-Shabab and its allies in August.

“She was only 13 years old. I have got her card from Hagarder refugee camp which has her age on it. She might have looked a bit older, but you could tell her age by talking to her,” she said.

Other critics point to the lack of lawyers, witnesses or appeal process.
The Islamists were reported to have announced their verdict the day before the stoning from cars with loudspeakers.
But Asha’s aunt was not informed of the court’s decision - despite repeated visits to the police station.
“I was not even told that she was to be killed, I just heard it from people after it happened.
“I don’t know what crime she committed other than being raped; and I was not even allowed to see her body,” she said.
Al-Shabab in Kismayo has refused attempts by the BBC to discuss the stoning.”

God shall admit those who believe and do righteous deeds into gardens, underneath which rivers flow. And the unbelievers, they enjoy and eat as the cattle eat, and the Fire is their resort.(12)
And how many a city there was that was stronger than thy city which has expelled thee! We destroyed them, and there was no helper for them.(13)
Is then he who is upon a Clear Sign from his Lord like him for whom his evil deed is adorned, and they followed their caprices?(14)
The similitude of Paradise promised to the godfearing (is this): In it are rivers of unstaling water, and rivers of milk of unchanging taste, and rivers of wine, a delight to the drinkers, and rivers of purified honey; and there they shall have every fruit, and forgiveness from their Lord. (Are they) like him who dwells in the Fire forever, and who are given to drink boiling water that tears their bowels asunder?(15)
And some of them give ear to thee, till, when they go forth from thee, they say to those who have been given knowledge, `what has he said just now?’ Those are the ones whose hearts God has sealed and have followed their caprices.(16)
But those who are on guidance, He increases them in guidance, and gives them their piety.(17)
Are they only looking for the Hour that should come upon them suddenly? But its tokens have already come; and when it comes upon them, how shall they have their admonition.(18)
Know that there is no god but God, and ask forgiveness of thy shortcomings, and for the Believing men and women; and God knows your moving about and your resort.(19)
And the Believers say, `why is not a Sura sent down?’ But when a well-defined Sura is sent down, and fighting is mentioned therein, thou seest those in whose hearts is sickness, looking at thee with the look of one who faints at death; but preferable for them(20)
was obedience and a desirable word. Then, when the matter is resolved, it would be better for them if they were true to God. And if you turned away, you are likely to cause disorder in the land, and cut off your bonds of blood?(21)
Those are the ones whom God has cursed, then made them deaf, and blinded their eyes.(23)
Do they not ponder over the Qur’an, or is it that there are locks on their hearts?(24)
Those who have turned on their backs, after the guidance has become clear to them, the Devil tempted them and gave them hopes.(25)
That is because they said to those who are averse to what God has sent down, `we will obey you in some of the affair;’ and God knows their secrets.(26)
But how shall it be, when the angels take them, beating their faces and backs?(27)
That is because they have followed what angered God, and were averse to His pleasure; so He has made their deeds to go waste.(28)

Those who disbelieved and barred from God’s way, then died as unbelievers, God will never forgive them.(34)

You know what would be nice? A muslim admitting that islam contains all of the violent passages, whether from the koran or hadith or whatever, and then telling us how he or she works around those things. Why do muslims always insist that islam is a religion of peace when they know it contains commands to kill Christians and Jews and that other muslims act on those commands? This is part of what gives islam and muslims a bad name (though of course the terrorism is more to the point for that) - this denial of what islam teaches in the face of the obvious fact that it does teach those things. It’s truly adding insult to injury. Also I would like a muslim to tell us what “moderate” muslims are doing to correct their fellow muslims instead of coming to sites like this to tell us not to believe our eyes and believe their words instead. That would be nice.

Thanks for your copy and paste job of post 3491. You may feel that you “need” people to read what you wrote, but the reality is that it is well documented that Islam is a religion of extreme violence, and that is as prescribed by the Quran itself.
Merely saying in all caps that your (copied) words are “TRUE WORDS” doesn’t make them so. Evidence is required.
Much evidence in support of the violence inherent in Islam has already been presented in this thread; that doesn’t seem to be a point of contention. However, this is a good starting point for further reading for you.

“There is a ceasefire in Gaza, but the BBC has found evidence of militant groups preparing for a return to violence. One group, Islamic Jihad, is training female suicide bombers.
Middle East correspondent Paul Wood went to meet a Palestinian woman who has volunteered.
The young, veiled woman was sitting quiet and still as the room bustled around her.
The black flag of Islamic Jihad was pinned on the wall behind her and two Kalashnikovs were carefully placed in camera shot. Her husband, an Islamic Jihad fighter himself, tied on her “martyr’s” headband.
Umm Anas - not her real name - had just graduated from a programme to train female suicide bombers in Gaza.
Our meeting was a highly-orchestrated propaganda event laid on by Islamic Jihad. It was almost theatre - and certainly Israel accuses the Palestinian leadership of manipulating young women like 18-year-old Umm Anas.
Yet, although she nervously twisted her wedding ring, Umm Anas did not appear to be a cipher.
She was articulate - more so than the men staging the event - and she knew her own mind.
Secret ambition
When she spoke of becoming a suicide bomber, Umm Anas’s voice was strong and steady: “This is a gift from God.
“We were created to become martyrs for God,” she continued, her eyes burning behind the full face veil.

The bomb belt which she hopes will end her life - and kill many Israelis - rested on the table next to us.
Her main motivation in becoming a suicide bomber appears to be religious rather than nationalistic - the fulfilment of a long-held ambition. Even getting married recently hadn’t changed her mind.
“When my husband married me, he knew my way of thinking. He knew exactly who I am and based on this he decided to marry me. Marriage doesn’t give me a second’s doubt.”
I asked if that would alter if she became pregnant.
“I would wait until I delivered the baby,” she said. “I would give him to my parents and ask them to look after him… Then I would leave them and the baby would remain behind as a piece of me.”
Her parents, brothers and sisters did not know.
“Martyrs - male or female - have to work in secret. No one can know about it. We have to be careful not to give our parents any sign of what we are about to do.
“Sometimes, maybe, they can tell and see on your face the signs of martyrdom. They are suspicious but they don’t know for certain.”
Ready for death
Umm Anas thinks she knows the manner of her death, but she doesn’t know the timing.
She is waiting for the collapse of the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire between Israel and Hamas, the Islamic movement which rules Gaza.

Islamic Jihad accepted the ceasefire, but accuses Israel of readying for another large incursion into Gaza.
Israel meanwhile accuses militant groups of using the pause to refit and rearm.
“There is a clear Zionist decision and trend to end and break the lull,” said an Islamic Jihad spokesman last month.
This, says the organisation, is why it has been running its secret training programme for female suicide bombers. They want to be ready.
Trainees are being prepared to attack invading Israeli soldiers. But would Umm Anas be ready to walk into a restaurant full of civilians, too, and blow herself up?
“Israeli soldiers, of course… are the easier target when they come here, but [I would kill] civilians too because both civilians and soldiers took our land.”
But wouldn’t she have any difficulty killing people not holding a gun? Wouldn’t she feel pity for women and children?
“It is not important because all of them have violated our land. Children are civilians, but they grow up to become soldiers… They are all brought up to hate us. Palestine is only for Palestinians. We must kick them all out in any way we can.”
Propaganda of fear
The use of Palestinian women as suicide bombers was once thought of as immodest - and therefore un-Islamic - but that changed, the militant groups say, because of shortage of male candidates and because women were better able to get close to their targets.

Finally, I asked Umm Anas if she was ever able to put out of her mind what she was about to do.
“I never stop thinking of this,” she said.
“I take each step carefully because I know I am going to sacrifice myself. Martyrs must pray all the time. They must fast.
“There are many duties to perform before we are ready to face God. I am trying not to make any mistakes so that I do not miss this opportunity.”

Before Christianity and Islam and any others..there was paganism, Zoroastrianism and Hinduism (which dates back to 1,500 BCE).
JUDAISM is the world’s oldest, a religion of just one people, ie; The Jews.
Christianity began with the teachings of Jesus Christ around 30 C.E., and Islam started in 610 C.E. with the prophet Muhammad’s revelation. Which muslims will hate to believe because they think thier ’story’ is the best.
All this religion thing was a fad. People believe Scientology is the true way, for crying out loud!

I want to answer “infidel”’s previous question. I don’t know how many churchs there are in ?ran, Saudi or Afghanistan but I can say that there are 16 churchs in my city (8 of which are in the center) today. In fact, the second of the seven churchs which have been mentioned in the Bible is in my city center. Also the first and the third ones are in the towns of my city. In history, 85 % of the population has been formed from Europians, Jews and Armenians. Because of this, the city has been named as “infidel xxxxx”. Later this nickname was sticked to the city permanently.Today either having a lot of churchs or having citizens who live away from radical Muslim traditions cause this beautiful city still to be named as “infidel xxxxx” although it’s not infidel…
Besides I want to talk about a book which was written in 1994 by a Turkish man (lawyer, journalist and television announcer) being named as “The Quran, islam, Ataturk and the miracle of the number 19″. He had been an atheist before but later after analyzing the Quran he began to believe it. But by interpreting it completely according to his own mind! He says that: —Sorry for the translation but this is a Turkish book and I will try to translate myself—
“In the Quran, God says that the heaven is full of virgins, green fields, cold water etc. God had to describe the heaven so because the Arabian society were like 3 years old children in terms of ignorance then. For ex,if you have a 3 years old child and he doesn’t want to eat his meal, how do you convince him to eat? He doesn’t understand anything if you say,(Eat your meal so that the protein in it will develop your cells and the calcium will make your bones stronger). Instead of this, you’ll have to say (eat your meal so that I’ll take you to the amusement park otherwise I may punish you). But when the child becomes 20, if you say the same things, you become ridiculous. God had to talk according to the ignorant Arabian society so that they could understand. Think about the hot (50 degrees) Arabian climate. Arabic men swelter. They can hardly find water to drink. They have already soft spots for women (especially for virgins). Because of this, God talked in a language which they could understand.If the Quran had comed to Finland instead of Arabia, God would describe the hell so for ex: “There are huge icebergs. People will be put upon these icebergs naked and also poured cold water on them”.
And another point: God says that rivers are flowing under the heaven. Notice the word “under the heaven”. And notice that rivers are not flowing “inside the heaven but “under the heaven”! Because the spirit (soul) is an energy. It rises (goes up) by death as its frequency increases. And in the level of such spirits, a zone which glitters in sunshine just like “a river”!!! forms. Bad sences can’t access to the spirits of this level. There begins a period away from the bad effects. This is “the river”! The upper of this “river” is full of only good sences. And this is “the heaven”!..”
Also according to my own opinion, heaven must be a symbolic place in which there are no virgins, no wine –how can there be wine if wine is forbidden in this world!—, no rivers, no cold water etc. Maybe we won’t have even bodies but only souls. So all these must be only symbols! (Note that they have been written 1400 years ago).
Of course I believe in the Quran but as this author and also Prf. Dr. Yasar Nuri Ozturk says, the Quran’s Turkish translation needs reinterpreting.
I glanced at a Turkish forum a few days ago.A woman asks: “Are there men for us there, too?” The answer is: “No, you’ll only have your husband. “What will be if he goes to the hell, I go to the heaven?” “Then you’ll given another husband.” Another question: “I can’t share my husband with 72 virgins, I’m jealous.”. The answer is: “Don’t worry, you’ll look more beautiful than them, so your husband doesn’t look at them”!

But as for saying that terrorism can’t have taken root from the Quran, then why do ALL the Muslim terrorists quote from it and why are there no Muslims telling THEM they are misinterpreting? Always it is the people who are reporting Muslim terrorism who are blamed for associating terrorism with Islam, but it is actually the murderers who are quoting Islam to justify their acts - and their justifications seem well founded in Islam. A Muslim like yourself has to ignore all the passages that tell Muslims to strike terror in non-believers and strike them on their necks (behead).
Instead, what we see is Muslims outraged by CARTOONS, rioting and killing and threatening to kill over DRAWINGS but we never hear of demonstrations against terrorism. In fact, what we see is Muslims rejoicing over terrorist acts. Christians have had equally insulting works created about them, and they don’t riot or kill or burn things.
You have a very bad image problem, and until the millions of Muslims who claim they reject terrorism take to the streets to protest it, the rest of us will continue to mistrust Muslims -and rightly so.

For ex also polygamy is the result of the misinterpretation of Muhammed’s marriages. Some kind of men always interpretes something as they suit their purposes. Arabic men already had 10-15 women (the total number of wives and concubines), islamic rules limited this and reduced the number down to max.4. And besides think of the war years. Women had loosed their husbands and stayed alone without money. The ethic level have been already squalid before islam. What would happen to these women then? The rule of “having max. 4 wives” was made to protect the women in fact, as one man could marry 4 women so that no women would stay alone, otherwise no doubt prostitution would be widespread. But this doesn’t mean “everybody must have 4 wives”. This is reducing the number from 10-15 to 4 in fact. Please notice this. But what happened later? Some malicious men used this, too. Even today some rich men tries to have 4 women by claiming that the Quran demands this! Ridiculous of course! Maybe islamic countries are really paradises for these kind of men. As long as we misinterpret everything “purposely”, islam will naturally have a bad reputation… (By the way, Turkish laws certainly forbit polygamy)
In brief I’m saying: Christians, Jews and we have the same God. There’s not “my God, your God”. There’s only one God to worship. Religions are only means of worship. What does it matter if I go to the mosque and you go to the church or the synagogue? They are all God’s houses. What does it matter if I read the Quran and you read the Bible or the Torah? They are all God’s books. What does it matter if we believe in the holly Muhammed, you believe in Jesus or Musa? They are all God’s holly prophets.
