Here is a permanent home for the 12 Muhammed caricatures that were printed in the Danish newspaper Jyllands Posten. If you don’t have a sense of humor then leave. They are just cartoons and nothing more. Comments will be enabled on here so please feel free to leave them. Keep it civil and please don’t storm my website with RPGs and machine guns. Oh, flag burning is unacceptable aswell. But feel free to boycot my site as that is a peaceful means of protest.

I don’t understand! How come people insult Islam. How come they mean: “Muslims ran out of virgins”. How come do you insult My Prophet. Don’t you know that Jesus Christ and Moses point out that Prophet Muhammet is the last prophet. Yes! Jesus Christ says that “I am going, then the last prophet Ahmed will come”. You are not insulting only Islam. You are insulting also your own religions. We, All Muslims, love Jesus Christ and Moses, because they are real prophets. But, Our prophet is the last real prophet, who Jesus Christ and Moses and all other prophets have talked about.
Actually it is not meaningful to tell these things, because already they have closed their ears! They hear only what they want. They are the real bombers and provacators!

It’s western colonialism to claim that Judaism, Christianity and Islam are three variants of the same thing and that there religious books are equally violent. This is just not true. This is three different religions. When it regards violens in their books both Christians and muslims has a rule saying that the latter texts has the most authority. In Christianity this means that the New Testament is placed over the Old. In the Quran that the aggressive texts are given priority, since there violent texts is in the end of the book. Furthermore in Christianity they have accepted historical-critical studies and discussions about the validity of the Bible, this has not been allowed in Islam.

There are two ways to look at this. First, there is the religious aspect. The bottom line here is that all religion was created by man to control the masses. How else do you command millions of people and ultimately get them to die in battle? For a cause of course! In the case of Islam, things are working just a little too well, perhaps? Then there is the basic facts of the matter. The USA and other democratic countries on this planet are founded on the principle of the freedom of speach. Being a democracy, there is also a freedom of consumption and there is no obligation for anyone to purchase the material that is printed.
All said and done though, if someone doesn’t like the way they are represented in a country in which they are currently living, they can always move back to their native country, right? Or is it not all its cracked up to be there??

You see the Islamic religion has nothing against Christianity or Judaism but actually embraces both religions because we believe in Christ and Moses and their teachings as well as Mohammad. This cartoon is very disgracing to the Muslim prophet. If someone posted a cartoon of Christ as a criminal their would be an uproar. it’s kind of like that. Mohammad was a well liked man who believed in peace. All these terrorists are twisting the words of the prophet and the Quran to better suet their needs which isn’t right. For example the word jihad isn’t in the Quran and in the Quran women and men are supposed to be treated equally hope this helps clear some things up.

I never thought I would be able to say that I was proud of Jaque Chirac. His statement to deter any attacks on France were bold and would be wise to heed. US should follow suit. Any nation that sponsors or harbors terrorist that attack our countries will have a response no less than a strategic nuclear attack. Do this once and all this crap will come to a stop.

Now I’ve got to wonder: why do Muslims bow down in the direction of Mecca; it is a place, a spot on the map. If you are really worshipping your god, and not a place on the map, then you should be able to face any direction because all of what you face is god’s creation. You should be able to lie on your back and pray to the sky, or stand in worship. You are just doing what you rebuke idol worshippers of doing, misplacing your faith in a place or direction on the map. Pray to your god if you must, but don’t fool yourself that Muslims pray any better to their god than others do to theirs. You have your focal point [Mecca] and they have theirs [for example, the crucifix in the church].
Stop thinking you are better than others.

Avrupalıların ifade özgürlüğü maskesi altında yüce peygamberimizin görüntülerini yayınlama hadisesi ilk değildir. Maksatlı bu tür hareketler, bizce planlı olarak yapılmaktadır.

To Sadık: No, how could the Danish government block the pictures? Change the constitution and impose some kind of state censorship? The whole idea of an open society is to be able to say and print almost everything. If someone steps over the line the dispute is supposed to be settled in court of law. The only problem that I can find in our kind of society ( I’m from Sweden, very much like Denmark) is groups that used our freedom to spread ideas that don’t like freedom. Like faschist, nazis and such. I think that the scandinavian countries are very free, and have been for almost 200 years (if you don’t take german occupation into account) very much thanx to our way of solving thing: with freedom of speech! (lost the topic a bit, sorry =)) )

Look. It is all so silly. Well, it would be if it weren’t so tragic.
How can we have so much education and knowledge in this world and yet be so stupid and irrational?
Why do we perpetuate religion? What is it about otherwise rational people to behave so irrationally? To believe in magic, fairly tales, gods, miracles, afterlife and so on? I can’t understand how someone can allow themself to be taken in like that? And that one can consider harming another human in the name of their ‘god’?!
I think every paper in the world should print the drawings.
If Allah and Mohammad are so powerfu, why not leave it to them to do deal with the Danish and Norwegian newspaper publishers.
We can not let Islam or any other religion dictate what we shall read or wear or think.
We should let our natural desire for making life better, for nuturing and for loving rule our societies. Rational thought and a rational world.
Maybe one day.
The more education a society has, the less likely it is to be brainwashed. Look at the UK. The churches are nearly empty. Missionaries are coming to the UK from Africa to spread the word of Jesus! In 200 years maybe Africa will be developed enough to think for itself. Maybe one day every one will be.
Care for those around you. And don’t be afraid to question and think for yourself. Scepticism is healthy.

I wonder what are Mohammad, Jesus and the rest of them thinking to eachother sitting up there. I’de say they’d be pritty disgusted with the mess we’ve all made of the teachings they left behind for us to use as a guiding light. Because to date, more or less their message has ended up being used, abused and corrupted by mortals who came after them to achieve their own ends. what we should realise is that the followers of the reliongs of the book are like interconnected cards all having originated from a single deck of cards and the house of cards that they all constitute at present could be heading for an almighty collapse if they don’t pull back the reigns and try to balance the system through understanding and sharing eachother’s experiences. A bomb goes off in a marketplace in Jerusalem. A suicide bomber launches himself into a bus full of women and children in Tel Aviv. Foreign tourists get massacred at a holiday resort in Luxor, Egypt. Villages upon villages get annihilated in Algeria. The list of events worldwide which have come to symbolise the ‘Islamic terror’ are endless. From the times in the 70’s and 80’s when Pan Am and TWA aeroplanes would be highjacked, to the mid 80’s in war torn Lebanon where Americans and Europeans would be held as hostages for years; all such incidents have come to be identified with the religion of Islam. Such incidents from past and present have undoubtedly affected Muslims worldwide and more so in the West. Any Muslim, who wants to practice his/her religion and expresses the pious desire to live under the banner of Islam, is labelled a fundamentalist or extremist. Any Muslim man who walks down a busy street in London or Paris (and Paris moreso) with a beard and a scarf on his head, is looked upon as being a terrorist who’s probably got an AK47 stashed somewhere on his person. Muslim women who are veiled can’t go anywhere in the Western world without being taunted as being oppressed or being mad (for covering up). However, are such beliefs and opinions about Islam really justified?
Exploding the myth
One of the many short comings which has arisen in the West, is judging Islam by the conduct of a minority of its people. By doing this, segments of Western society have deliberately played off the desperate actions of many Muslims, and have given it the name of Islam. Such behaviour is clearly not objective and seeks to distort the reality of Islam. For if such a thing was done - judge a religion by the conduct of its people - then we too could say that all Christianity is about is child molesting and homosexuality [1] whilst Hinduism was all about looting and breaking up mosques [2]. Generalising in such a manner is not seen as being objective, yet we find that the Western world is foremost in propagating this outlook on Islam. So what is the reality of Islam? How does one dispel the myths which have been created and spread so viciously? The only way to examine Islam is to simply examine its belief system. Look at its sources, the Qur’an and Sunna, and see what they have to say. This is the way to find the truth about what Islam says about terror, terrorism and terrorists. One who is sincerely searching for the truth, will do it no other way. The very name Islam comes from the Arabic root word ’salama’ which means peace. Islam is a religion which is based upon achieving peace through the submission to the will of Allah. Thus, by this very simple linguistic definition, one can ascertain as to what the nature of this religion is. If such a religion is based on the notion of peace, then how is it that so many acts done by its adherents are contrary to peace? The answer is simple. Such actions, if not sanctioned by the religion, have no place with it. They are not Islamic and should not be thought of as Islamic.
Jihad
The word jihad sends shivers down the spines of many Westerners. They readily equate this term with violence and oppression. However, it must be said that the meaning of jihad, as a ‘holy war’, is something which is totally foreign and not from Islam. If anything, such a description belongs more so to Christianity and its adherents. It was terms like this which were used to justify the slaughter and pillage of towns and cities during the crusades by the Christians. By simply looking into the sources of Islam, one is able to know that the true meaning of jihad is to strive/make effort in the way of Allah. Thus striving in the way of Allah can be both peaceful and physical. The Prophet Muhammed (saws) said:
“The best jihad is (by) the one who strives against his own self for Allah, The Mighty and Majestic” [3]
In the Qur’an, Allah also says:
“So obey not the disbelievers, but make a great jihad (effort) against them (by preaching) with it (the Qur’an)”
(Surah Al-Furqan 25:52)
By controlling and fighting against ones desires, the Muslims can then also physically exert themselves in the path of Allah. It is this physical or combative jihad which receives so much criticism. Because of the sheer ignorance of this type of jihad Islam is regarded as terror, and Muslims are regarded as terrorists. However, the very purpose of this physical jihad is to raise the word of Allah uppermost. By doing this, it liberates and emancipates all those who are crying out for freedom all over the world. If the likes of the pacifists of this world had their way, then the world would indeed be full of anarchy and mischief. The combative jihad seeks to correct this as Allah says in the Qur’an:
“And if Allah did not check one set of people by means of another, the Earth would be full of mischief. But Allah is full of bounty to the worlds”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:251)
Such would be the corruption on this Earth if there had never been a combative jihad that Allah says:
“For had it not been that Allah checks one set of people by means of another, monasteries, churches, synagogues and mosques, wherein the name of Allah is mentioned much, would surely have been pulled down. Indeed Allah will help those who help His (cause). Truly Allah is All strong, All mighty”
(Surah Al-Hajj 22:40)
This combative jihad being both defensive and offensive, is something which is commanded by Allah upon the Muslims. Through this command the oppressed and weak are rescued from the tyranny of the world:
“And what is the matter with you that you do not fight in the cause of Allah and for those weak, ill treated and oppressed among men, women and children whose only cry is; ‘Our Lord, rescue us from this town whose people are oppressors and raise for us from you one who will protect and raise for us from you one who will help”
(Surah An-Nisa 4:75)
Anyone who knows the early history of Islam, will know that all those nations and empires which came under the fold of Islam were indeed previously oppressed. When the companions of the Prophet Muhammed (saws) went out for the offensive jihad against the Egyptians, the Persians and the Romans, we find that the people did not resist against them at all. Rather, they accepted Islam on such a scale, that it is inconceivable that the jihad of Islam could be anything other then a liberation for these people; a liberation from centuries of tyranny. In fact, with the Byzantine Egyptians and the people of Spain, the Muslims were even beckoned to come and liberate these lands from the oppression of their kings. This is the glorious track record of the Muslim jihad. Compare this with the brutal track record of warfare in the Western world over the centuries. From the crusades against the Muslims to the days of colonial warfare, the Western world has killed, destroyed and plundered everything which has come in its way. Even today this merciless killing goes on by the Western nations. While claiming to be about world peace and security, Western nations are ready to bomb innocent civilians at the drop of a hat. The classic example of this is the recent bombings of Sudan and Afghanistan. Whilst claiming that Sudan and Afghanistan were havens for Islamic terrorists, the bombings of these two nations could not have come at a better time for the American president Bill Clinton. The destruction of innocent lives which were a result of these bombings clearly seem to have been an attempt by Clinton to avert attention away from his sexual misdemeanours; [4] something which he so often gets caught up in. Without doubt this was the reason for such terror from the American military upon innocent people. This is the same American military which claims to enter the worlds trouble spots under the guise of being peace keepers. But
“… when it is said to them; ‘Make not mischief on the Earth’, they say; ‘We are only peace makers’. Indeed they are the ones who make mischief, but they perceive it not”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:11-12)
The hypocrisy of the West is indeed astounding.
By looking at the rules and regulations of this combative jihad it will be clear to any sincere person that this is indeed the religion of truth. When fighting an unjust enemy, no matter how unjust they are, it is forbidden by Islam that their retreating forces are mutilated, tortured or slaughtered. The treacherous violation of treaties and carrying out assassinations after a cease fire, are also prohibited. Allah says in the Qur’an:
“And fight in the way of Allah those who fight you. But do not transgress the limits. Truly Allah loves not the transgressors”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:190)
Not transgressing the limits means not to kill women and children, for the Messenger of Allah (saws) “forbade the killing of women and children” [5]. Not transgressing the limits means that the elderly, the sick, monks, worshippers and hired labourers are not attacked. Not transgressing the limits means not killing animals wantonly, burning crops and vegetation, polluting waters and destroying homes, monasteries, churches and synagogues:
“Allah does not forbid you to deal justly and kindly with those who fought not against you on account of religion, nor drove you out of your homes. Indeed, Allah loves those who deal with equity”
(Surah Al-Mumtahinah 60:8)
After reading such passages from the Qur’an and knowing about what Islam commands and prohibits in jihad, the rules of warfare are given a new meaning; a meaning of justice. How sad it is then, that whilst Islam is condemned for striking terror into the hearts of the people, the likes of the Serbs, the Indian army in Kashmir and the Israeli soldiers in Palestine are left untarnished for the atrocities they have committed in the name of warfare.
So what about suicide bombing, is this too a part of jihad in Allah’s path? From what has already been stated above, it can be deduced that this is not from the religion. However, unfortunately many Muslims have taken suicide bombing as being a virtuous act by which one receives reward. This could not be further from the truth. The Prophet (saws) said: “Those who go to extremes are destroyed” [6]. Suicide bombing is undoubtedly an extremity which has reached the ranks of the Muslims. In the rules of warfare, we find no sanction for such an act from the behaviour and words of the Prophet Muhammed (saws) and his companions. Unfortunately, today (some misguided) Muslims believe that such acts are paving the way for an Islamic revival and a return to the rule of Islam’s glorious law. However, we fail to bear in mind that the Prophet (saws) said:
“Do not be delighted by the action of anyone, until you see how he ends up” [7]
So, for example what is the end of a suicide bomber in Palestine?, a leg here, an arm there. Massive retaliation by the Israeli’s in the West Bank and Gaza. More Muslims killed and persecuted. How can we be delighted with such an end? What really hammers the final nail in the coffin of this act, is that it is suicide; something which is clearly forbidden in Islam. The Messenger of Allah (saws) said:
“He who kills himself with anything, Allah will torment him with that in the fire of Hell” [8]
Some are under the misconception that by killing oneself for an Islamic cause, one commits an act which deserves Paradise. Once when a man killed himself, the Prophet (saws) said: “He is a dweller of the Fire”. When the people were surprised at this, the Prophet (saws) said:
“A person performs the deeds which to the people appears to be the deeds befitting the dweller of Paradise, but he is in fact one of the dwellers of the Fire” [9]
The taking of ones life which Allah has given as a trust to the human, is a great sin. Likewise the taking of other lives (which is so often the case with suicide bombing) is also forbidden, as human life is indeed precious:
“…If anyone killed a person not in retaliation for murder or to spread mischief in the land, it would be as if he killed the whole of mankind. And (likewise) if anyone saved a life, it would be as if he saved the whole of mankind”
(Surah Al-Maaida 5:32)
Thus, all other types of extremities such as hostage taking, hijacking and planting bombs in public places, are clearly forbidden in Islam.
The Media
By going through the teachings of Islam, it is clear that such a religion has only come to benefit mankind - not to destroy it. So why is there so much hatred for this noble religion in the West? The answer is simple, the media. It is the Jewish influenced media of the West which has portrayed Islam to be something that it is not. During the 70’s and 80’s when the PLO (Palestine Liberation Organisation) were carrying out daring highjacks on the worlds airways, the media in the West portrayed it as being Islamic. When the Shi’ite suicide bombers of the 80’s were causing so much havoc in the Lebanon and in the Gulf region, the media in the West portrayed it as a part of Islam. However, it is known by the heads of the media that the likes of the PLO were not an Islamic organisation, and that according to Islam, Shi’ites are outside the fold of Islam [10]. Yet such facts are never portrayed by a media which seeks to cover the truth of this religion. A number of years ago, when the Oklahoma City bomb went off, a headline in one of the newspapers, ‘Today’ [11], summed up this attitude. With a picture of a fire fighter holding a dead child in his arms, the headline read: “In The Name of Islam” Time has of course proven that this bigoted assumption was incorrect, as Timothy McVeigh, a right wing radical now faces the death penalty for the crime [12]. Likewise the bombs which went off in the Paris metro in 1995, were also blamed on Muslim fanatics. It has now emerged that the Algerian secret service who having routinely bribed many European journalists and MPs, were actually behind it. The desire to throw a veil over Islam is immense by these people:
“They intend to put out the light of Allah with their mouths, but Allah will complete His light even though the disbelievers hate (it)”
(Surah As-Saff 61:8)
Whilst trying to destroy Islam through this instrument of the media, the Jews clearly try to portray an image of themselves as being the oppressed people. Every year, we are reminded as to how many Jews perished under the Nazis in World War II. We are made to feel sorry for these same people who have gone on to commit so many crimes upon the Palestinian people. Some may say that this is a racist and biased viewpoint. But we say; If this media was not run and orchestrated by the Jews and was truly neutral, then why are Menachem Begin and Yitzhak Shamir, two former Israeli prime ministers, not held aloft as being terrorists? Anyone who knows about the history of the Palestinian occupation will tell you that these two men were members of the Stern Gang and Irgun, two notorious Jewish terror groups who killed many innocent people [13]. If this media was truly impartial, then why does it not tell about the extent of the Israeli bombardment and illegal occupation of Southern Lebanon and its people? [14] And if this media really had nothing against the religion of Allah, then why does it not inform the people that every day hundreds are entering the religion of Islam? Such things will never be highlighted in the Western media, simply because to do so would be against their very interests.
With such immense pressure against it, it is indeed a blessing from Allah that Islam goes from strength to strength. It continues to grow faster then any other religion in the Western world, conquering the hearts and minds of thousands. All this should not even surprise us though, for Allah has promised us that this religion will prevail:
“It is He who has sent His Messenger with the guidance and the religion of truth, so that He may make it victorious over all other religions, even though the disbelievers detest it”
(Surah As-Saff 61:9)
It is a must that humanity comes towards the religion of Islam. Without it, we will continue to slip down the road of inequity and darkness. With it we can establish a society of justice and peace. Religion of terror? … no. The way forward? … yes.
“There is no compulsion in religion. The right path has indeed become distinct from the wrong. So whoever rejects false worship and believes in Allah, then he has grasped the most trustworthy handhold that will never break. And Allah is All Hearing, All Knowing”
(Surah Al-Baqarah 2:256)

THE RELIGION OF ISLAM
The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word “Islam” itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of “Allah” and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah’s “God’s” religion; the total submission to the will of Allah “God”. The Arabic word “Islam” means the submission or surrender of one’s will to the only true god worthy of worship “Allah” and anyone who does so is termed a “Muslim”, The word also implies “peace” which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allah. Hence, it was not a new religion brought by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) I in Arabia in the seventh century, but only the true religion of Allah re-expressed in its final form.
Islam is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. The name of God’s religion lslam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In the final book of divine revelation, the Qur’aan, Allah states the following:
“This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion”. (Soorah Al-Maa’idah 5:3)
“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him” (Soorah Aal’imraan 3:85)
“Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim.” (Soorah Aal’imraan 3:67)
Nowhere in the Bible will you find Allah saying to Prophet Moses’ people or their descendants that their religion is Judaism, nor to the followers of Christ that their religion is Christianity. In fact, Christ was not even his name, nor was it Jesus! The name “Christ” comes from the Greek word Christos which means the annointed. That is, Christ is a Greek translation of the Hebrew title “Messiah”. The name “Jesus” on the other hand, is a latinized version of the Hebrew name Esau.
For simplicity’s sake, I will however continue to refer to Prophet Esau (PBUH) as Jesus. As for his religion, it was what he called his followers to. Like the prophets before him, he called the people to surrender their will to the will of Allah; (which is Islam) and he warned them to stay away from the false gods of human imagination.
According to the New Testament, he taught his followers to pray as follows: “Yours will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”.
THE MESSAGE OF ISLAM
Since the total submission of one’s will to Allah represents the essence of worship, the basic message of Allah’s divine religion, Islam is the worship of Allah alone and the avoidance of worship directed to any person, place or thing other than Allah.Since everything other than Allah, the Creator of all things, is Allah’s creation; it may be said that Islam, in essence calls man away from the worship of creation and invites him to worship only its Creator. He is the only one deserving man’s worship as it is only by His will that prayers are answered. If man prays to a tree and his prayers are answered, it was not the tree which answered his prayers but Allah who allowed the circumstances prayed for to take place. One might say, “That is obvious,” however, to tree-worshippers it might not be. Similarly, prayers to Jesus, Buddha, or Krishna, to Saint Christopher, or Saint Jude or even to Muhammad, are not answered by them but are answered by Allah. Jesus did nottell his followers to worship him but to worship Allah. As the Qur’aan states:
“And behold Allah will say: “O Jesus the son of Mary Did you say to men, Worship me and my mother as gods besides Allah He will say-”Glory to you I could never say what I had no right (to say’)” (Soorah Al-Maa’idah- 5:116)
Nor did he worship himself when he worshipped but rather he worshipped Allah. This basic principle is enshrined in the opening chapter of the Qur’aan, known as Soorah Al-Faatihah, verse 4:
“You alone do we worship and from you alone do we seek help”.
Elsewhere, in the final book of revelation, the Qur’aan, Allah also said:
“And your Lord says:”Call on Me and I will answer your(prayer).”(Soorsh Mu’min 40:60)
it is worth noting that the basic message of Islam is that Allah and His creation are distinctly different entities. Neither is Allah His creation or a part of it, nor is His creation Him or a part of Him.
This might seem obvious, but, man’s worship of creation instead of the Creator is to a large degree based on ignorance of this concept. It is the belief that the essence of Allah is everywhere in His creation or that His divine being is or was present in some aspects of His creation, which has provided justification for the worship of creation though such worship maybecalled the worship of Allah through his creation. How ever, the message of Islam as brought by the prophets of Allah is to worship only Allah and to avoid the worship of his creation either directly or indirectly. In the Our’aan Allah clearlystates:
“For We assuredly sent amongst every people a prophet,(with the command) worship meand avoid false gods ” (Soorsh Al-Nahl 16:36)
When the idol worshipper is questioned as to why he or she bows down to idols created by men, the invariable reply is that they are not actually worshipping the stone image, but Allah who is present within it. They claim that the stone idol is only a focal point for Allah’s essence and is not in itself Allah! One who has accepted the concept of the presence of God’s being within His creation in any way will be obliged to accept this argument of idolatry. Whereas, one who understands the basic message of Islam and its implications would never concede to idolatry no matter how it is rationalized. Those who have claimed divinity for themselves down through the ages have often based their claims on the mistaken belief that Allah is present in man. They merely had to assert that although Allah according to their false beliefs, is in all of us, He is more present in them than in the rest of us. Hence, they claim, we should submit our will to them and worship them as they are either God in person or God concentrated within the person.
Similarly, those who have asserted the godhood of others after their passing have found fertile ground among those who accept the false belief of God’s presence in man. One who has grasped the basic message of Islam and its implications could never agree to worship another human being under any circumstances. God’s religion in essence is a clear call to the worship of the Creator and the rejection of creation-worship in any form. This is the meaning of the motto of Islam:
“Laa Elaaha lllallaah” (There is no god but Allah)
Its repetition automatically brings one within the fold of Islam and sincere belief in it guarantees one Paradise.
Thus, the final Prophet of Islam is reported to have said, “Any one who says: There is no god but Allah and dies holding that (belief) will enter paradise”.(Reported by Abu Dharr and collected by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim).
It consists in the submission to Allah as one God, yielding to Him by obeying His commandments, and the denial of polytheism and polytheists.
THE MESSAGE OF FALSE RELIGION
There are so many sects, cults, religions, philosophies, and movements in the world, all of which claim to be the right way or the only true path to Allah. How can one determine which one is correct or if, in fact, all are correct? The method by which the answer can be found is to clear away the superficial differences in the teachings of the various claimants to the ultimate truth, and identify the central object of worship to which they call, directly or indirectly. False religions all have in common one basic concept with regards to Allah. They either claim that all men are gods or that specific men were Allah or that nature is Allah or that Allah is a figment of man’s imagination.
Thus, it may be stated that the basic message of false religion is that Allah may be worshipped in the form of His creation. False religion invites man to the worship of creation by calling the creation or some aspect of it God. For example, prophet Jesus invited his followers to worship Allah but those who claim to be his followers today call people to worship Jesus, claiming that he was Allah!
Buddha was a reformer who introduced a number of humanistic principles to the religion of India. He did not claim to be God nor did he suggest to his followers that he be an object of worship. Yet, today most Buddhists who are to be found outside of India have taken him to be God and prostrate to idols made in their perception of his likeness.
By using the principle of identifying the object of worship, false religion becomes very obvious and the contrived nature of their origin clear. As God said in the Our’aan:
That which you worship besides Him are only names you and your forefathers have invented for which Allah has sent down no authority: The command belongs only to Allah:
He has commanded that you only worship Him; that is the right religion, but most men do not understand “. (Soorah Yoosuf 12:40)
It may be argued that all religions teach good things so why should it matter which one we follow. The reply is that all false religions teach the greatest evil, the worship of creation. Creation-worship is the greatest sin that man can commit because it contradicts the very purpose of his creation. Man was created to worship Allah alone as Allah has explicitly stated in the Our’aan:
“I have only created Jlnns and men, that they may worship me”(Soorah Zaareeyaat 51:56)
Consequently, the worship of creation, which is the essence of idolatry, is the only unforgivable sin. One who dies in this state of idolatry has sealed his fate in the next life. This is not an opinion, but a revealed fact stated by Allah in his final revelation to man:
“Verily Allah will not forgive the joining of partners with Him, but He may forgive (sins) less than that for whom so ever He wishes”(Soorah An- Nisaa 4:48 and 116)
THE UNIVERSALITY OF ISLAM
Since the consequences of false religion are so grave, the true religion of Allah must be universally understandable and attainable, not confined to any people, place or time. There can not be conditions like baptism, belief in a man, as a saviour etc., for a believer to enter paradise. Within the central principle of Islam and in its definition, (the surrender of one’s will to God) lies the roots of lslam’s universality. Whenever man comes to the realization that Allah is one and distinct from His creation, and submits himself to Allah, he becomes a Muslim in body and spirit and is eligible for paradise. Thus, anyone at anytime in the most remote region of the world can become a Muslim, a follower of God’s religion, Islam, by merely rejecting the worship of creation and by turning to Allah (God) alone-It should be noted however, that the recognition of and submission to Allah requires that one chooses between right and wrong and such a choice implies accountability. Man will be held responsible for his choices, and, as such, he should try his utmost to do good and avoid evil. The ultimate good being the worship of Allah alone and the ultimate evil being the worship of His creation along with or instead of Allah. This fact is expressed in the final revelation as follows:
“Verily those who believe, those who follow the Jewish (Scriptures), the Christians and the Sabians any who believe In Allah and the last day, and work righteousness *hall have their reward with their Lord;They will not be overcome by fear nor grief (Soorah Al-Baqarah 2:62).
If only they had stood by the law, the Gospel, and all the revelation that was sent to them from their Lord, they would have enjoyed happiness from every side. There Is from among them a party on the right course; but many of them follow a course that Is evil.”. (Soorah Al-.Maa’idah 5:66)
RECOGNITION OF ALLAH
The question which arises here is, “How can all people be expected to believe in Allah given their varying- backgrounds, societies and cultures? For people to be responsible for worshipping Allah they all have to have access to knowledge of Allah. The final revelation teaches that all mankind have the recognition of Allah imprinted on their souls, a part of their very nature with which they are created.
In Soorah Al-A’raaf, Verses 172-173; Allah explained that when He created Adam, He caused all of Adam’s descendants to come into existence and took a pledge from them saying, Am I not your Lord? To which they all replied, ” Yes, we testify to It:’
Allah then explained why He had all of mankind bear witness that He is their creator and only true God worthy of worship. He said, “That was In case you (mankind) should say on the day of Resurrection, “Verily we were unaware of all this.” That is to say, we had no idea that You Allah, were our God. No one told us that we were only supposed to worship You alone. Allah went on to explain That it was also In case you should say, “Certainly It was our ancestors who made partners (With Allah) and we are only their descendants; will You then destroy us for what those liars did?” Thus, every child is born with a natural belief in Allah and an inborn inclination to worship Him alone called in Arabic the “Fitrah”.
If the child were left alone, he would worship Allah in his own way, but all children are affected by those things around them, seen or unseen.
The Prophet (PBUH) reported that Allah said, “I created my servants in the right religion but devils made them go astray”. The Prophet (PBUH) also said, “Each child is born in a state of “Fitrah”, then his parents make him a Jew, Christian or a Zoroastrian, the way an animal gives birth to a normal offspring. Have you noticed any that were born mutilated?” (Collected by Al-Bukhaaree and Muslim).
So, just as the child submits to the physical laws which Allah has put in nature, his soul also submits naturally to the fact that Allah is his Lord and Creator. But, his parents try to make him follow their own way and the child is not strong enough in the early stages of his life to resist or oppose the will of his parents. The religion which the child follows at this stage is one of custom and upbringing and Allah does not hold him to account or punish him for this religion.
Throughout people’s lives from childhood until the time they die, signs are shown to them in all regions of the earth and in their own souls, until it becomes clear that there is only one true God (Allah). If the people are honest with themselves, reject their false gods and seek Allah, the way will be made easy for them but if they continually reject Allah’s signs and continue to worship creation, the more difficult it will be for them to escape. For example, in the South Eastern region of the Amazon jungle in Brazil, South America, a primitive tribe erected a new hut to house their main idol Skwatch, representing the supreme God of all creation. The homage to the God, and while he was in prostration to what he had been taught was his Creator and Sustainer, a mangy old flea-ridden dog walked into the hut, The young man looked up in time to see the dog lift its hind leg and pass urine on the idol. Outraged, the youth chased the dog out of the temple, but when his rage died down he realized that the idol could not be the Lordof the universe. Allah must be elsewhere. he now had a choice to act on his knowledge and seek Allah, or to dishonestly go along with the false beliefs of his tribe. As strange as it may seem, that was a sign from Allah for that young man. It contained within it divine guidance that what he was worshipping was false.
Prophets were sent, as was earlier mentioned, to every nation and tribe to support man’s natural belief in Allah and man’s inborn inclination to worship Him as well as to reinforce the divine truth in the daily signs revealed by Allah. Although, in most cases, much of the prophets’ teachings became distorted, portions remained which point out right and wrong. For example, the ten commandments of the Torah, their confirmation in the Gospels and the existence of laws against murder, stealing and adultery in most societies. Consequently, every soul will be held to account for its belief in Allah and its acceptance of the religion of Islam; the total submission to the will of Allah.
We pray to Allah, the exalted, to keep us on the right path to which He has guided us, and to bestow on us a blessing from Him, He is indeed the Most Merciful. Praise and gratitude be to Allah,the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be on prophet Muhammed, his Family, his companions, and those who rightly follow them.

Marcus, Thanks for your writing (#8). It shows prudence and deep knowledge. I really wish westerners should learn how to think and may seek help from their fellow citizens like you.
I am a practicing Muslim and the caricature of Muhammed did not enrage me as some other who took the streets or torched embassies. Though as an enlightened person, I can clearly define freedom of press and offence to one’s belief.
It was boring to read some writings, especially written by Americans. Those write-ups show how shallow, ignorant, stereotype and illiterate a major population of a country be.
I welcome and thank knowledgeable people to lead the modern thinking process and only by that way we will defeat fanatics, extremists and war-mongers.

I am a 17 European who have lived in Saudi Arabia which is a strict Muslim country, where open practice of other religions are highly forbidden. Freedom of press does not exist at all as it is a totalitarian monarchy. I agree that the calicatures were offensive, BUT, i doubt that the people publishing them are anti-Islamists in any way. They expressed what the general attitude towards Islam is. When Muslim then go crazy over this, the calicatures in some way confirms this predudice, right? Is violende their only tool to make a difference? Should drawing pictures of Prophet Mohammad be forbidden, but burning down embassies and making threats totally OK? First throwing rocks at churches in the Middle East and then demand European societies to build mosques doesnt seem all fair. However, I suppose these “true muslims” on the streets of Damaskus and Beirut who are responsible for these harsh actions are unemployed, somewhat criminals who are looking for something radical to do. How about getting a job and help your society instead of it being dependent on financial help from European countries. By this i dont mean America forcing Arab states into ” democracy” by occupation and such, but plain money that my country (amongst others) give to Palestine, Syria, Lebanon etc. If you want to get your reputation back as not provoking violence and terrorists, stop burning down everything you see, and accept the apology from the Danish paper. Greetings and peace to everyone. 1st and foremost my humble salutes goes out to these people in this thread :- #7-Jimmy, #8-Marcus, #15-Hasan, #18-Thomas Jack, #26-WD & #46-Fred. And also Kudos to the owner of this site for holding up this juicy topic and the caricatures (as most sites and Muslim countries banned the pics).
Well clearly there is anger among the Muslims of the world for the caricatures. Yes it is forbidden to draw or picture the Prophet Mohammad in any form. But than again my dear Muslim Brothers, the caricatures are not drawn by Muslims. It was done by people who don’t really know and understand the religion of Islam. And it is what it is, a “caricatures” just another representation, in which the subject’s distinctive features or peculiarities are deliberately exaggerated to produce a comic or grotesque effect. It is no different than what most of the western world has thrown at us. They say things that they understand not. They think we hide our woman behind veils simply becoz they’re ugly. Well we can also say that we hide our woman folk becoz they’re sizzling HOT. Well it’s irrelevant actually and nothing to do with looks, only if they bother to find out why. They think Muslim women are oppressed, again they’re wrong. Brothers, we KNOW for a fact that Islam has the highest REGARDS for women. Our doorway to heaven lies underneath our mother’s feet.
Now, have we as Muslim’s even bother to wonder why do they tend to think a lot of negative things about us? The answer is plain to see brothers. It is simply becoz of all the stupid and prohibited things that has been done in the name of Islam. To name a few:- suicide bombers, honor killing (This is REALLY oppressing the women folk) and most of the time responding with emotions instead of diplomacy and wisdom based on the Quran and Hadith. And also mis-interpreting the Quran and Hadith, and arguing among ourselves who is the better Muslim. You see brothers, as long as we keep showing the world that we go against our own believes and the teachings of our Beloved Prophet, we will keep getting negative feedbacks.
So with regards to the caricatures, as a Muslim I detest it. For that matter, I would feel all the same if it were caricatures of Jesus. Jesus is not our enemy and so are the rest of the Holy prophets. These are men chosen by God. Islam acknowledges all the Prophets from Adam to Mohammad and all their teachings. So dear brothers, relax, do bring into mind words from our Holy Book Surah 7, Al-Araf verse 199:-
“Hold to forgiveness; command what is right; but turn away from the ignorant.”
For Allah comforts the prophet and direct his mind to three precepts:-
1. To forgive injuries, insults and persecution.
2. To continue to declare the faith that was in him, and NOT only to declare it, but to act up to it in all his dealings with friends and foes.
3. To pay NO ATTENTION to ignorant fools, who raised doubts or difficulties, hurled taunts or reproaches, or devised plots to defeat the truth; they were to be IGNORED and passed by, NOT to be engaged in fights and fruitless controversies, or conciliated by compromise.
To #32 - Ty, I admire your kind inquisition on the Holy Quran chapter 4, verse 89, however please kindly allow me to re-phrase your quote and extend it to the end of the paragraph at verse 91. Chapter 4 Al-Nisa (A Chapter On Women) verse 89 – 91 states:-
89 “They but wish that you should reject faith, as they do, and thus be on the same footing (as they): but take not friends from their ranks until they flee in the way of Allah (from what is forbidden). But if they turn renegades, sieze them and slay them wherever you find them; and (in any case) take no friends or helpers from their ranks. 90 Except* those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (of peace), or those who approach* you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah has pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (guarantees of) peace, then Allah has opened NO WAY for you (to war againts them). 91 Others you will find that wish to gain your confidence as well as that of their people: every time they are sent back to temptation, they succumb thereto: if they withdraw not from you nor give you (guarantees) of peace besides restraining their hands, seize them and slay them wherever you get them: in their case We have provided you with clear argument against them.â€
So Dear Ty, if you were to “read between the lines”, you would see that it is not that simple to just simply slay another, what more to promote violence. Furthermore, the Quran was revealed bit by bit throughout a period of about 23 years and often following a certain incident or occurrence. Thus, it is necessary for one to understand fully the historical aspect of the religion and not to only quote a part of the text and purely take it out of context. To understand more and those phrase that has the *, I urge you to read The Meaning Of The Holy Quran by Abdullah Yusuf Ali. Published by Amana Publications, 10710 Tucker Suite, Suite B. Beltsville, Maryland 20705-2223 USA. It’s written in plain English and easy to understand, perhaps than you would have a better understanding.
To all my Muslim Brothers, please don’t let a mere cartoon done by an ignorant boil you up and cause you to hate and break any good friendship you may have with people of other religion – “Qul Ya Ayuhal Kafirun….†Even our Prophet has friends from different religion. I’m not religious and I’m not hating religion either. I think that everything has its place and its importance.
There is lots of work to be done on this planet and most of the protesters (and many of those in this list) are losing lots of time and effort on some ridiculous cartoons.

Because if everyone pictured themselves at a higher state of exsistance you would look down and see the pathetic exsistence of humans on the planet. My hope is that someday a being from another galaxy will come and kick all of our asses into some kind of reasonable submission and make us realize how ignorant and petty we truly are. Take earth away from us - we don’t deserve it. Take it away from us so that we realize we are waisting a wonderful exsistence on a beautiful world. You don’t truly appreciate something until youve lost it.

The biggest thing that bothers me, is when the Muslim countries come to the USA and ask for money or aid to go to their homeland. They sure as heck don’t mind begging for aid. Then they get their feelings hurt over any little thing and they curse us, stomp on our flag, burn our flag, and burn likenesses of whatever president we have at the time. Then when disaster strikes their poor, like an eartquake or a Tsunami, they SCREAM that the USA is not doing enough. As far as I’m concerned, feed your own poor, take care of your own sick, you deal with the fanatical idiots in your own country before you tell us we are insensitive to the Muslims. I never had any hard feelings toward any ones religion choice, but now I do. I am so sick and tired of islam this, or islam that, or killing in the name of islam. I NOW look at almost any Muslim with distrust and disgust. Shame on you for giving me these feelings. Keep going and the rest of the world is going to get sick of your antics also and then you’ll have nobody to send you any aid. Then you can all starve to death or die from your next disaster that your Allah sends your way. All you have succeeded in is putting me in a position where when I walk into a store and see a person from the Middle East, I turn around and leave. I refuse to spend my hard earned dollar to give any profit to someone that will send it back home so more innocent people could be blown up. I NEVER felt this way before. You think it is heroic that your fanatics fly planes into our buildings, then you hide the sorry excuse for a human being and protect him. Mass murdering is not OK in either of our religous teachings, but you Muslims think it is OK. I KNOW taht not every Muslim feels this way, but you don’t do anything to stop these fanatics. All you did to me on 9/11/2001 was convince me to buy a shotgun and an assault rifle along with the ammo to go with it. All of the non gun owners I knew before that fateful day, now own weapons to protect themselves.
